I am looking to buy a Honda Ridgeline soon, like next month.Budget is $25,000-30kNo financing. Probably from a dealer. I know how to haggle.What good years/trims to look at? I definitely want the 2nd gen with AWD, but would like to avoid very recent models with all the LCD screens and other BSis the new 9 speed any good?I need a small 4 door pickup truck, Ive had plenty of Hondas, and want to stick with them.

The 2017-2019 years are a gamble with exploding engines and/or melting backup cameras. Up to 2023 they had small, but painfully slow screens. AC and such still has physical controls. 2024-2026 updated the screen to be less slow/shitty.RTL is generally the best value trim, with RTL-E being good on the years that was available. RTL-E was later replaced with "Trailsport", which is just a more expensive appearance package. Outside of the highest trim (black edition) they all feature industry's worst sound system. Expect to upgrade that.
