That's not how it works, retard. A big engine with FI will make even more power than smaller engine with FI. Displacement is just one of many factors in getting power out of the engine, all of which can be combined and don't exclude each other. So it is true that there is no replacement for displacement, because there is nothing that prevents adding more displacement, while being better in every way.

You can't simply add displacement to an engine. You can lengthen stroke and increase bore, but the amount of displacement increase is still limited.
On the other hand you have virtually unlimited power to gain via forced induction. There's a limit, but it's a much much MUCH higher ceiling than increasing an engines displacement.

Now if you want to go ahead with your retarded dog chasing it's tail argument, here's a mental exercise to follow, try and figure out how it ends...
