What is this ?!
>>28652006looks like some gay ass japshit faux luxury nonsense.
>>28652006>>28652228The finest nipponese consumer electronics from the 1990s, presumably in a 2010s Lexus.I think this was right before they started moving functions to the touch screen, the one with UI design resembling a TV set-top box or a Garmin from the 2000s.
>>28652240It has the garbage joystick that's frustrating as fuck to use so this is just after the shitty touchscreen era of the mid 2000s-early 2010s.
This is the center console of a Lexus vehicle, specifically from a Lexus hybrid model, based on the design and the presence of the EV Mode and Eco/Normal/Sport drive mode selector. Here’s a breakdown of what you’re seeing: Main Features Visible:Gear Selector (Right Side):This is a unique gear shifter used in Lexus hybrid vehicles (similar to the Toyota Prius). It includes:R (Reverse)N (Neutral)D (Drive)B (Brake mode – for engine braking)It's spring-loaded and returns to the center after selection.Drive Mode Selector (Middle knob):Modes: ECO, NORMAL, SPORTLets you change how the car responds in terms of acceleration and fuel economy.EV Mode Button:Forces the car to drive on electric power only (if battery charge allows and speed/load is low).Infotainment Controls (Bottom part):This includes a joystick-style controller or mouse pad to navigate the Lexus infotainment screen.Buttons around it likely offer shortcuts like MENU, MAP, or BACK.Audio System (Upper part):Radio controls: FM, AM, CD, AUX, etc.Tune/file knob, volume knob (PWR-VOL)Lexus logo confirms the brand.Climate Control & Seat Heating (Upper Left):Small knobs may control seat heating/cooling or other minor settings.Cupholder/Covered Storage Area (Bottom left)Let me know if you'd like help identifying a specific button or how something works!
>>28652006What the fuck is B on the shifter? Bark?
>>28653446B for extra engine braking. Mostly pointless on hybrids since you can trigger regen braking by holding the brake pedal down just a bit. The cruise control also engine brakes automatically to limit speed if it can't regen brake any more, even in D.I suppose if you had to roll downhill without using the ACC for a long time for some reason, the B mode might be useful.Though these cars tend to rust out their disc brakes from lack of use, so it might sometimes be preferable to just use the regular brakes and not fiddle with the shifter.
>>28653452>engine brakingSo you be sayin a Lexus can BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR like a Peterbilt?
Automatic shifters were solved 20 years ago, I don't know why modern cars continue to fuck with them.
>>28652006>sticky soft touch
>>28653452I've been driving a hybrid yota for a while. pressing Brake pedal get Regenerative & hydraulic brake work and shifting to B makes regen more aggressive and in speeds higher than 10kmph (in my experience) also engage the engine to drivetrain to help with engine brakingI don't think it will rust that bad since it will use brake for final stop (<10kmph). Anyway the one I drive has a steel wheel so I think it's less likely to get water splash on the brake rotor thus reduce chance of rusting
>>28652006An old Prius
>>28652244>that's frustrating as fuckClean it, it looks filthyThen go to settings and change the strength of the haptic feedback to your liking
