What do you pick?

The Fit.

The Fit 10 times out of 10.
A 15+ year old Merc with 150k miles is going to be a nightmare to own. You'll be spend more time fixing it than driving it. Unless that's what you want.
>>
>>28653111
ohhh, me so solly
>>
Fit only if it’s a manual
>>
>>28653096
The one that's obviously not a stupid fucking choice
>>
>>28653096
'90s Tercel 4spd and pocket the change.
>>
Fuck, thats a tough choice.

Depends on your lifestyle, what you're buying it for.

Me I'd go with the fit
>>
>>28653096
>2 year mercedes
are you begging to pay another 9k in planned obsolescence replacements?
>>
>>28653096
That seems steep for a Fit, but I'd definitely rather be driving it with a stick than a fucking 2000s Merc. Imagine the cost of maintenance on that piece of shit.
>>
Honda Fit
>>
>>28653096
The one that doesn't inherit the maintenance costs and schedule of a 6 figure car
>>
>>28653110
>fpbp
If I have to pick a $10k car, I want the cheap car instead of the old luxury car that will demand repairs $10k at a time minimum.
>>
>>28653096
merc. honda will rust to shit after a year.
>>
neither. go older until you can spend the same on a fairly reliable car that's not an econobox.
i don't care if it's a 30 year old shitbox. i like my 30 year old shitbox.
>>
>>28653096
neither
just get a Dodge or something
>>
Fit. The Benz probably doesn’t even start up.
>>
You'd pay double that within a year
So the question is would rather have a Honda fit or -$10000

so many wrenchlets in this thread holy
>>
>>28653096
Honda Fit is goated.
>>
>>28653096
With the money you're going to have to spend on maintaining the Mercedes, you could probably get 2 Fits.
>>
>>28654615
in tha sauce
>>
>>28653096
Imagine having a $9,995 budget and choosing to maintain the once $136,000 whip instead of the once $27,000 one that's 7 years newer
>>
>>28653096
The S class may say 10k, but that’s not what it actually costs. If your budget isn’t actually 10k it’s the cooler car
>>
>>28653096
Only buy used euroshit from people you know.
>>
>>28654658
>If your budget isn’t actually 10k
kek most of the time their budget isn't anything and they're financing the 10k, so they need the car with the smallest fucking tires and brake discs they can fucking get, but poor people are often retarded as well so they slide slide in the benz and then lose their shit at the cost of mount and balancing four 255 width tires, ro the fuact that sometimes Krautmobiles don't respond well to aftermarket parts like brakes, meanwhile a Honda will have Amazon brake pads installed on it and not make a peep.
>>
>>28653936
Doing your own labor doesn't make the parts less expensive retard
>>
>>28655198
This, a fucking rotor for an S class benz from 2008 costs $324 OEM, meanwhile Honda OEM front rotor costs $87, you do not need to be buying 350mm brake discs if all you can afford is a $9500 car.
>>
>$10k for a 162,000 mile Honda Fit
Neither
>>
>>28655479
That's what they go for Anon, cars aren't even close to the end of their lives at 162,000 miles with just oil changes, you could do a compression test and it would be perfectly fine, engines are so crazily engineered now, that I've never even come across an unhealthy Honda engine from having miles on it, it's either blown the fuck out, or running perfectly fine.

No one here has any clue wtf theyre talking about
Just a bunch of crabs in a bucket
Thats overpriced, howeverthoughbeit. You can easily find a W221 for half that.
Mercs are built like tanks
>>
>>28653096
The Fit is the obvious answer if your iq is over 100
>>
>>28655506
neverminded, didnt see the fits mileage
>>
>>28655498
>Mercs are built like tanks
The engine and trans are good, and benzes are good when taken care of, but maintaining a car with air suspension as such costs money, you can spend over a grand per corner doing an airmatic strut job, meanwhile a Honda could have all four done for like $1400.
>>
>>28653096
Only idiots pick used mercedes
>>
>>28656786
This, especially when people buying old ass bimmers and and benzes to flex, if you wanna flex, buy a new one.
>>
>>28653096
w140
>>28655476
what kind of retard buys oem brake rotors
