Been looking into getting one for my second vehicle that I can take out and have fun with and in case my daily beater hits the shitter. some of my friends were saying I should check out the bronco but it looks pretty gay ngl
My 74 y.o. mother has one. It's nice, it's comfortable, it's fast. But it's really heavy and way too expensive. Personally I think it's a waste of money.BTW the oil change schedule is 20-21k miles on a turbo SUV so good luck buying used.
having seen both irl the bronco seems really small if you actually plan to carry other people or lots of gear>daily beaterare you prepared for the investment that these things are? Do you actually drive on rough/snowy roads often? If not, you may want to consider something less compromised, and more luxurious, like a GV80 Genesis.
>>28653335I'd buy the G wagon, but honestly I can't justify spending over 150k for a vehicle.Bronco still in the bottom barrel for me, the other one was debating on was the Lexus GX 550 Overtrail+ but I havent found a dealer near me that has it in stock for a test drive
>>28653340was planning mostly for camping/nature road trips.Don't plan on doing anything to crazy like overlanding/rock crawling. Felt like the new 4runner or jeep would have been good for that, but like I stated earlier, it would also still be my "back up" daily if anything happens to my beater. investment? how so as in the premium fuel or oil changes?
>>28653353>investment? how so as in the premium fuel or oil changes?its a boutique brand so the parts are somewhat unusual and repairs will cost a lot>Don't plan on doing anything to crazy like overlanding/rock crawling.then I recommend looking at a GV80 >>28653356subaru has an absolutely tragic hard to use infotainment system and the interiors are as cheap and shitty as possible save Toyota
>>28653356Yeah exactly my thoughts anon>>28653366ok I'll take a look into it, the bit I've seen seems great but I also need to have good cargo space for equipment and especially out door gear.
>>28653390G80 is a midsize SUV (admittedly not the biggest around)if its just you and gear it should be plenty of room the defender isn't that big eitherI have a compact suv and its just the barest edge of usable though I don't have camping gear in it just a lot of other road trip stuff though I don't have the rear seats folded cuz that makes it more annoying to get to the cooler which I keep in the rear seat. I think any sort of midsize suv should be fine and perhaps even consider a lightly used a6 all terrain not sure if that's as up-to-date as the GV80 but it shouldn't be bad
>>28653393GV80*the G80 is the sedan, sorry, it's a bit confusing
>>28653331Looks like shit + is built by pajeets
>>28653331>looks kinda cool, especially if you get it in black or tan>is actually capable off road>has a side opening rear door and a nice, flat metal lined floor in the boot>JLR has (deservedly) spent years at the bottom of every reliability ranking and any kind of repairs are guaranteed to be expensive>the entire car itself is also overpriced as fuckIn other words, if you value cool looks and offroad capability over anything else, it's a decent enough buy
