I am pretty much what you guys call an NPC on the road. I drive a toyota, I drive an auto, a FWD, I drive to the speed limit and I drive on the slow/middle lane. My car is stock and only produces 230KW.

My question is, how do y'all cope with manual? In Australia, they will put hidden cameras all over the roads and they will fine you for going over the speed limit by 3Km/h.

I cannot imagine driving without assisted cruise control. Can you actually drive to the speed limit and not get annoyed in manual?
>>

You can drive the speed limit with a manual transmission all day.
It's not like the manual transmission encourages you to speed like a maniac.
>>
>>28654251
Does it not get annoying having to shift everytime you come to a stop?
>>
>>28654247
I drive a 2010 mustang with a MT; it has cruise control.
Putting the clutch in disables cruise control, just as hitting the break would.
>>
>>28654263
When you hit the break and come to 0, do you have to manually set your gear to 1?
>>
Everyone in Europe drives manual, it's not the big ordeal you're making it out to be.
>>
>>28654247
Sticking to the speed limit is dramatically easier in a manual. You just have more overall control over the car and can comfortably sit at any speed you want.
My work car is an auto and i always use cruise control on that too because it feels like it constantly wants to drift away from the speed I want.

The cameras aren't hidden.
They literally have to signpost them. Use waze.

They are hidden behind tinted glass in the back of SUVs.

Do they have hidden speed traps in Europe
>>
>>28654258
way less annoying than being vitually a passenger
>>
Speed limits are for pu55ys, don't like it? Obscure your plate.
>>

No they don't. They haven't for a long time.
>>
>>28654316
not since the mas migration of brown people who can only drive (steal) autotragics
>>
>>28654314
>Obscure your plate.
Australia's compliance cameras have facial recognition capabilities and they can see through tinted visors.
>>
>>28654304
I don't know where you live but in new south wales they have to be clearly signposted.

I'm in Trannytoria and only fixed cameras need to sign posted so the police use these unmarked hidden cameras to extort money out of motorists.
>>
>>28654270
I’m not sure. But I wouldn’t try to resume cruise control if it was set to highway speeds while in 1st or 2nd.
>>
>>28654331
They hide the signpost behind vans and utes.
>>
>>28654258
You get used to it we’re in normal traffic you don’t think of it much more than blinking (which you are now doing manually).
Also
>I cannot imagine driving without assisted cruise control.
Regular cruise control is enough to not speed. Even then changing speeds at highway speeds rarely requires changing gears, at least with a 5 speed, maybe a 6 speed it’s different.
>>
>>28654965
a lot of african migrants steal cars and they are too stupid to drive manuals
>>
>>28654316
Yes they do, sure krautshit like BMWs are mostly auto these days but that comes down to emissions regs and shit
>>

Jesus fucking Christ what is wrong with you kangaroo fuckers? Why do you tolerate such pointless oppression
I've never even seen anyone pulled over for going 10 over, and that's 17kmh. Hidden fucking cameras and tickets for going 2mph over? We'd go 1776 on them

They don’t pull you over, they send out a fine and demerit notice until your license gets revoked.
>>
>>28655090
Man, I am never giving up my guns
What fucking purpose could any of that serve, other than to temporarily stiffen the micro penises of parasite government bureaucrats
>>
>>28654247
I mostly get away with it by not living in Aussieland. Love going over 100, especially late at night with empty roads. My suggestion would be to form a group with fellow like-minded citizens and smash up these shitty cameras. They'll eventually stop when the money they spend replacing them is more than they'd make
>>
>>28654247
Verify your speedo. A lot of speedos read over by 5-10%. Compare to a GPS.
Also, cameras take off a margin of error. 7 kph in WA, I think. If you get pinged for "71" in a 70, they actually clocked you at 78. Dunno if the eastern states are different for this.
But I did try to check the speedo on my motorcycle with a phone GPS. Could barely see it with the sun glancing off so I sailed by a speed camera doing "90" in a 70 zone, except the speedo is total garbage and I was doing about 77, says the GPS. No ticket.
>>
>>28655072
Eastern Australia is in general worse. NSW/VIC are shit. They also have 70% of the population so they control the feds and impose retardation on the rest of us.
WA is lax (by Aussie standards) on speed, if we were in the USA, might even scrape a 2nd worst after NC or Virginia. (forgot which one was the harsh state)
>>
>>28654247
you must be living in victoria judging by your other replies. even nsw fixed speed cameras are more forgiving than that
>>28654423
the govt also put an end to that after we bitched and moaned enough about it. same deal with restoring the warning signs. Mobile cameras have warning now, and they can't do cunning shit like parking behind bushes, parked vehicles, obstructions etc.
>>
>be in ACT
>speed camera vans are obvious as shit
>if it wasnt easy enough to spot them, they put huge boards on top saying its a speed camera
>all i need to establish registration is a roadworthy and i never need to get another one
>can let my rego run out up to 12 months and just pay it to get it back
>like 5 fixed cameras in the entire state
>police are all AFP they dont give a rats ass about traffic infringements (unless you're doing shit like powerskidding the school carpark at 3pm)
>>
>>28655300
federalise/nationalise road rules and make all identical to ACT's rules plz
>>
>>28655072
No you wouldn't. You'll never do anything.
>>
>>28654314
That a felony

I'm surprised there isn't a device being sold to jam or ruin speed camera pictures somehow.

There is. Possession will net you a nice big fine though.

When youre in proper control of your power train, tis but a small inconvenience that becomes second nature
Now if youre a little bitchnwith twinkletoes thst never squatted 2x his bodyweight ever in his lofe raw for reps, then yeah your cnkles probanly will get sore and tired

I remember one time having my kneeda blasted out from a 1rep max week during oly training, i could hardly engage the clutch without agonizing pain everytime, the worst DOMS ever experienced in training lol

probably a 2gr camry, those can be pretty damn quick
>>
>>28654247

>>
>>28656034
I'm just confused why op is saying his npc-mobile is "only" making over 300hp as if that's a small number.
>>
>>28654247
Do you have any freedoms or liberties in Australia whatsoever?

>>28654329
Not with a motorcycle helmet and sunglasses.
>>
>>28654247
Fwd can be fun. Speed limits are a challenge because going as fast as you can under that limit takes a bit of skill.
Take that corner at the posted limit, then the next and the next.
It is not big and clever but it makes it fun.
>>
>>28656371
>Not with a motorcycle helmet and sunglasses.
Australia's compliance cameras have X-ray vision and can read a number plate from over9000 kilometres away. Just as you'd expect in a penal colony.
>>
>>28655300
They do like to put the speed vans around blind corners sometimes, but to be honest if you just remember those places the chances of you being caught speeding is pretty damn low. Aside from AFP being scummy towards car meets - I will gladly take what we have over the bullshit VIC and NSW have to deal with.
>>
>>28656335
It might weigh >2000kg
>>
>>28656967
if it's the camry it's almost 1600 kg
