WHY THE FUCK ARE TESLA HIGH BEAMS SO GOD DAMN BRIGHT?
>>28659887>the US does not require high-brightness headlights to have cleaning or leveling devices
>>28659887Literally every car I see with LED headlights. Why can't we go back to halogens? If you really need that much light at night to see, maybe you shouldn't be driving.
>>28659929i stuck selective yellows in my high beam and low beam housings. very comfy night driving.
>>28659929>pic>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ruTyuD68fc>I compare installing LED bulbs into a Headlight housing versus the original Halogen bulb. This is literal nigger-tier behaviour, has nothing to do with factory LEDs or even retrofitting LED projector modules. Stop spamming it every time.
>>28659887they're all like that. for many cars, the high beam switch simply raises a flap inside the housing that lets the full power of the LED be unleashed above the cutoff line.
>>28661457Bi-Xenon HID and bi-halogen projectors work the same way. "Bi" means the same projector is used for both high and low beams. It's like late 1980s or early 1990s tech.
>>28659953It was just an example, you spaz. I never watched that video.
>>28661544An example of what?
>>28661457This is only for HID. LEDs use two boards for high and low; they utilize the shape of reflective housing for cutoff.
>>28659887The problem isn't even the brightness, it's the color temperature. Harsh short wavelength blue lights at night are what rape your retinas. If a company spends a couple extra pennies on their lights to have warmer temperatures, they're not that bad to look at. Wear blue light filtering (yellow) glasses and it becomes a lot less miserable to drive at night.
>>28661735Brightness is an issue too, it means your eyes can't properly adjust to the darkness. You just go from getting dazzled to not being able to see out past your own lights over and over again.
>>28661739Yes but it's greatly mitigated by cutting the blue light.I would rather the world revert to halogens, I've never had any issue being able to see with halogens
Teslas don't have self-dimming headlights?
>>28661762The newer ones do, but the setting is turned off by default.
>>28661735I use yellow glasses when I ride my motorcycle and even just the brightness makes it impossible to see anything in my mirror. They are too bright. sample as.
