Battery made by SK in South Korea. They are making the motors themselves.Kek
>>28662679NOOOOThe end is near
>>28662679Ferrari was dead the second they dropped gated manuals.
>>28662752But nobody bought them, that's why they were dropped.Nobody will buy this EV either and they'll quietly drop it from the line-up in a few years.
>>28662679I looked at the tech spec, and I am not impressed.EV Rank: 1. Chink2. Kraut3. Mutt4. Nip5. pastanigger
Ferrari has become invidiously inflated as an automaker. It’s more of a luxury lifestyle brand now. There is no difference between driving a Ferrari and carrying a purse. Gheeeeeey
“Nice Birkin bag bro”
I still think it's funny when people get mad at companies like Ferrari and Lamborghini for making crossovers and EVs. Oh no did this hurt the image of the brand that you could never afford a product from even on the used market. Boohoo how will you ever cope from this thing that has literally no effect on your life in even the smallest least significant way imaginable
>>28662871The push for EVs has destroyed engineering and design. There's no difference from this and a tesla. The future will be generic skateboard chassis' with body kits.
>>28662871I mostly get mad at Ferrari because they make too many cars these days, Roma's are rotting in dealerships because nobody wants them. They are pissing away the exclusivity which has brought them to the top of the car manufacturer world, the EV is another step in that wrong direction.
>>28663009>someone who has never driven an evyeah man, there's no difference between a leaf, base model 3, m3 performance, taycan and rimacthey all drive identically and there is no difference in performance
>>28662871I'm not mad, I'm sniggering, just like I did with the sabotage of Jaguar.
>>28663075He's not wrong though, it's just bigger batteries/motors and car goes faster. theres not much engineering challange there asides from just beefing things up. The cars still weigh over 4000 lbs so its not like vehicle dynamics actually matters anymore when cars are just generic blobs. Evs can easily have a low cog so that's not an engineering challange anymore. The battery is between the axles so rotational inertia and weight distribution aren't engineering challanges anymore. packaging and high hp combustion engines isn't a challange anymore. hp/l isn't a challange anymore. transmission shifting speed isn't a challange anymore. Etc etc.How else do you think tesla came out of literally nowhere and started mass producing cars faster than 99% of the shit on the road. It's not because they had the best engineers it's because the shit was comparatively easy to engineer.
>>28663164And to add to this point, Ferrari was supposed to represent the pinnacle of automotive engineering. Obviously they fell off over the years but at some point that's what they represented. When their 250,000$ ev goes just as fast as a 100k tesla, that's not peak anything other than just using expensive materials to drive the cost up for no reason other than to have a high cost. It's just fake prestige.
>>28663168>Italians>Pinnacle of engineeringkek. But you're right that electric cars are fucking boring. Battery -> speed controller -> motor. It's exactly why people still prefer nitro r/c cars. They are just more fun. More fun to work on, more fun to drive, more fun to watch.Matching cells, building packs, maintaining packs, it's all trivial and boring. Even the software is trivial and boring. Even the polyphasic induction motors are boring and 100 years old. It's the same reason people like vinyl records and analog instruments. It's visceral and it's interesting. EVs are soulless techno slop.
>>28662679>ev>ferrari
>>28662854>placing Germans above Americans in EV rank
>>28663168>Ferrari was supposed to represent the pinnacle of automotive engineeringwatit's the oppositethey do their best work with "outdated" and proven technology."aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines" t. enzo ferrari
>>28662679This is a complete game changer, and they may finally be able to compete with Tesla
>>28662752Which gated manual ferrari do you own?
>>28664257>>28664258
>>28662752I miss these too. What the hell is the point of owning a Ferrari without the right cockpit?
Ferrari stocks are down 16% guess people aren't liking the transition much kek.
>>28663168>Obviously they fell off over the years but at some point that's what they represented. They still do, or did until the last couple of years. The 812 GTS is probably peak supercar, ever.
>>28664223Chink can charge at 1000kW. Now, Kraut finally charges at 1000kW. Mutt (Tesla) - still stuck at 250kW at "*PEAK*" Nips - below 150 kW at "*PEAK*" Pastanigger - 85 kW at "*PEAK*" Now, EV "Ferrari" uses the gook tech (350 kW)cope and seethe
>>28664856>the BMW i3 was a disaster>the Mercedes EQS is a disaster>the Taycan isn't moving units>the Boxster and Cayman are going to be sacrificed to the alter of EVs assuming Porsche can ever even figure out how to get them to market>VW while at least releasing interesting designs can't figure out how to do software and has to pay Rivian to bail them outThe German EV market is a clownshowMeanwhile in America>Tesla rules the roost>Rivian makes good vehicles even if they sell them at a loss>Ford's Mach-E and F150 Lightning is at least better than anything Germans have to offer>Dodge is first to market with an actual mass market sports car EV (even if no one wants it lmao)>GM is literally just selling Chinese EVs
Remember when Ferrari used to mean something?
>>28664939YEP I REMEBER WHEN IT USED TO MEAN EIGHTH RIGHT BEHIND FORD AND PORSCHE HAHAHA-------------1966 FORD MUSTANG GT CHERRY "BOMB" REDUS ARMY SERGEANT (RETIRED) 1971 - 1975VIETNAM VETERAN
>>28664856>Chink can charge at 1000kW. Now, Kraut finally charges at 1000kW.Are you plugging your car in to an electrical substation? Assuming 100A, where are you getting this 10kV power from
