what country are you from
what bikes do you like
how much do you have to spend

if youre a euro and have to do CBT>A licences, I'd suggest a honda CB125F simply because theyre GOOD, and once you have your A license, an MT-07 as a "beginner" bike
if youre american, you can kinda just skip the 125 stage and just hop on an MT-07 or an MT-03 if youre less confident - theyre really solid learner bikes with good dealership support and large internet knowledge bases, as well as being extremely easy to work on if you want to learn that too

More like:
>Throw turn signal on
>Wait 5 entire seconds until speed biker catches up to you from a block away
>Still don't turn
>Wait until he tries to pass you
>Decide that now when hes trying to pass is the perfect moment to start turning
Just another comatose cagie decision tree moment.
>>

if you don't give us any details at all except for some random bikes you don't like you aren't entitled to getting better advice than the naked bike advice.

So just get whatever naked bike you can afford.

1200/1250/1300GSA, Africa Twin and Tenere* riders generally do actually go offroad
>to get to their camp ground spot
but the entire adv genre now is essentially 90s dakar rally-style larp for people that want to put a tent on the back of their bikes and maybe sleep away from home for the weeekend
ducatti basically just made a tall tourer
nothing wrong with that inherently, but the category is a joke

Video "#2"
Youre doing 120-140 coming up behind the guy, at night, in a 60 zone
he indicates to change lange *AFTER THE JUNCTION*, you speed up on him, without slowing down, cut off the car in the right lane and enter his blind spot, causing him to hesitate and cancel his intention to change lane

Video "#3"
106 in a 60, you divebomb 2 cars with minimal room, and enter the red hondas blind spot to do a third, he sees you are about to kill yourself, so he pulls back in to his own lane - you then continue to split at 90-100, while still in a 60 zone

Video "#1"
we've been over this before - you habitually sit in his blind spot, splitting at 60, while traffic is at 30, when he goes to change lane, you tailgate him and then enter is opposite blind spot

you deserve to get knocked off
you deserve to die
you deserve to have your expired helmet disintegrate to dust as your skull hits the ground

you are the reason the public hate bikers
you are the reason we are legislated against
you are a retard and a faggot
and worst of all
you are a fucking leaf

Guys on dad bikes are more comfortable, ride more so they’re better at it, and more cautious so they’re less likely to have trouble.

They hate us, cus they aint us. They are frightened by wind so much they need a cagie screen to protect themselves from it, they are too scared to split, they fear wet conditions. Only real riders understand that riding is about embracing the elements, feeling the wind, the assault of the rain, and the thrill of a cagie obstacle course. We ride in any conditions and dance in the rain:

https://litter.catbox.moe/hezzvec0itj8xd76.mp4

If there were no cagies then there would be nothing to split, we prefer having them on the roads here.

Ok, so it’s like I thought. Can I buy the tires I need and take them to any tire shop? It’s a 1980 CB750F.

> new chain, suspension can probably be removed and scrubbed down

I’m going to guess that both of those factors could lead to the rough ride?

>>28666003

More than anything I’m trying to get it safe to ride and make sure nothing is eating itself. I spent $500 on it, he wanted $800. So $500 in new parts and repairs isn’t off budget.

The rear brake master cylinder doesn’t work, but he gave me the 32-1458 kit for it.

Mate, I got no dog in your race about how you all ride, but you're waxing real poetic about all that freedom in following a little black line that, should you ever leave it, you will likely be fined or go to jail for tresspassing, assuming you don't just get shot by the owner for touching his dirt. (And like a good hypocrite, if I ever save up enough, I'll buy my own dirt and make sure no one else ever gets to touch it.)

I know we're all supposed to spit on the cagies for being stupid cattle, but I don't see the point when I seem to end up in the same damn feedlot. I guess we did get there a bit faster.

And your dirt bike follows its brown line, in a safe space away from everyone else who are deciding what you may or may not do. A man without society and civilization is a beast - we do not shun others, but rather embrace them - only demanding that they recognize a collective and individual do both exist at once, you are not merely a sum, but many parts of a whole. Freedom is within the mind, and also the physical, however these laws and rules are not physical, you abide by them only because you fear invisible power, you are shackled without restraint in the real.

They say I must drive in such and such a way, I must hang such and such a thing off my bike, papers, documents, you are tagged from birth via a code no different than cows in the barn. Who said these things must be this way? Was I apart of this conversation? Clearly not! Just because so and so says something, does not mean I must follow it if I do not agree with it.

Day 2 you're going to be mostly focusing on the parts that you'll be tested on. The standards on day 1 are higher than the test, like stopping from a start you don't have to get up to the same speed.

Just really focus on what you're doing with the clutch and your head. Also its okay to make 1 mistake don't panic and follow it up with another mistake.

Pshhh, I drove mine off the lot and I've never even driven manual. Just looked up some guides on youtube, then sent it. To be fair, if you're gonna buy a nice bike right away (would not recommend), then don't do what I did, because I dropped my bike twice on the way back home, and also knew I was going to drop it. Once in the parking lot, and again on a tight left corner. Also stalled it multiple times, so if you get embarrassed about looking like a fool in public learning something, then you'll die dropping your bike and stalling all over the place.

Is it fair to say they fucked up somehow and should fix it for free? Granted it's a 20 year old bike so maybe a gasket cracked or something but they still should've noticed, right? Or am I overreacting?
>>

>you get embarrassed about looking like a fool in public learning something, then you'll die dropping your bike and stalling all over the place
Yeah I was doing that like all class, I stall it then I get flustered and stall it again since I'm now eating into other's riding time.
>>
>>28666302
You'll probably still stall on occasion out in public, especially once you want to learn to launch faster, I stalled out a zillion extra times trying to get that tighter.

Its worse than in a class because most people don't even know about stalling in the modern era of automatics, you just look like a fucking idiot, and then get beeped at for holding up traffic lmao. At least in the class room everyone is shit and trying to learn, in public its just angry cunts doing their wageslave commute.

It is what it is, just have to take the public L and continue learning. Eventually they'll be holding all the L's wanting you split and filter through traffic taking 30 seconds to cut through 30 minutes they have to sit through.

Depends on if you want it to go away, do you know why you crashed to begin with? I've crashed three times so far, once going wide, once stunting, and another giving too much throttle on a corner with cold tires. Its easier to get over it when you know what to fix, as you fix it, you won't worry so much about that style of crash.

Enviably though you will have to understand that on a bike, you will crash. No one rides without crashing at the start, and the only people who ride without crashing in general are people who aren't learning or pushing themselves to become better anymore.
>>
>>28666301
That’s the stuff you learn to DIY so you don’t get taken advantage of. It’s supposed to have a rubber gasket, maybe they overfilled. Open it and check it out. And clean the oil it corrodes paint
>>
>>28666338
I'm not sure. I talked about it in here before, so apologies if I repeat myself. I don't know if it was:
>gravel
>cold offroad tires
>too much lean angle
I was coming into an intersection to make a left on to an on-ramp. Imagine a big S turn. The intersection is concrete instead of asphalt. As I entered, I leaned the bike over like I've done a thousand times before. I stayed wide within my lane. I kept my throttle steady, neither accelerating or decelerating. I think the front washed out before the rear, but I can't be sure. I think I was going 30mph or below.
Motorcycling is definitely something I want to get good at. I'm going to do some supermoto and enduro classes for sure.
>>
>>28666350
>offroad tires

>>
>>28666358
I don't think I'm leaning very far. And until then, they never gave any objections to it either. It's my first set, however, so I didn't know anything about how they'd react. Pirelli scorpion something or others

Scorpion has everything from sumo streets to outright dirt bike tires, are you on actual pic related tires? Because this shit will have less than half the grip actual street tires have, literally worse than riding in rain. You don't lean over on knobbies, you should be riding in a delicate manner on those tires in the street. Not only that, but the compounds are different, street tires are made to grip Asphalt, this shit is made for dirt and mud.

Holy fuggin kek.

Ok so there is something called a contact patch, this is how much your actual tire is connecting with the road for grip. The reason slick tires are better for track is because there are no gaps, meaning your contact patch has more grip than pic related - a standard street tire. I want you to imagine what your unholy off road knobies would look like if translated to a picture like this. Literally less than half the amount of contact.

Now imagine if even one tiny bit of oil or gravel gets on one of the spots a knob lands on, well you are basically SoL aren't you? Because all you have touching the road is like three knobs at a time, and you just lost one.

Road rash on my knee is still raised and purple after like 3 months, like breh, its just surface level damage on a small fraction of the body and you can't even get that done in a month? Meanwhile you can gain multiple inches of height in a month when you are growing.

"Intelligent design" my ass.

Can confirm, this is why you throw on sumo tire and wheelsets before doin dank nooners around a corner at like 65kph+
You will otherwise lowslide doing this on knobbuloids
I have kornered on my knobulars on the express circut freedom Canadian Highway and Suburbia Roads™ a few times at or around 150kph+ and with luggages some of those

Id love to sumo this thing to its real potentials
Speaking of which, in both instances

I'm curious for your reasoning there. I have a DR as well, and I'm willing to drop 2 inches of suspension travel (except probably not because lol, DR sag) and take on some weight for either a twin or at least water cooling.
