It's over.Tesla won. They taught self driving how to use fast food drive throughs. There's no going back from this point.
>>28666413Why does this look like an interior of a background prop car in a non-video car game that you're not supposed to look at too closel
>>28666420What is it supposed to look like?
>>28666431Not like a low poly Ikea desk with an iPad Pro and a Logitech G29 glued to it, that's for sure
>>28666413Tesla won what exactly? The slop Olympics?
>>28666483Why not?
>>28666490Brother, read the whole post. The car self drives through the drive through. This is the most significant advancement in automotive history since the electric starter. But in all seriousness it is really interesting.
>not linking this guy when you're showing off how insane FSD ishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbChAXbRz_wngmi
>>28666496I don't want to feel like I'm sitting in an office cubicle
>>28666501it's a great use of high end engineering talent, for sure. why would a tesla need to autopilot through a drive through? unless it's a a battery+ location or something?
>>28666543Bro really said "need"
>>28666420If it fucking works then why not? Tens of millions daily drive Teslas with little to no issue. My 72-year-old dad got a Model Y last year and he said that it’s the easiest car to drive in his life. No more forgetting keys or constantly fumbling on knobs.
>>28666524As a lifelong NEET, you wont have to worry about that
>>28667034Playing with knobs is a quintessential part of the automotive experience. It works best with a passenger (Don't want to crash from distraction after all), but you can do it yourself with only one hand.
>Tesla wonTheir autopilot loses to every competitor You meant to say Tesla is now smarter than a base model truck
>>28667038You speaking from experience?
>>28667034All that automation only works well in good conditions. There are situations where you definitely want a knob in a known place that you can operate without distraction. Once the weather turns bad, rime covers everything and it takes a decent effort of logical elimination to tell where the lanes are because of all the snow, touchshit toy cars are at best an inconvenience and at worst an acute danger to life.Just forget about self-driving, it's just not happening. What does happen when you drive a car like this in non-ideal conditions is fumbling through touch menus to>stop the wipers from destroying themselves>get the correct lights turned on>disable the lane assist that keeps trying to drive the car into the ditch because it saw a lump of snow on the lane and mistook it for road markings>tone down the excessive regen that causes the car to lose grip and spin out of control if you accidentally raise the accelerator pedal 1% too muchWhich is just a fucking miserable driving experience.Assuming you can even get into the car because the futuristic kitchen appliance's super-efficient door handles keep freezing.
>>28666413WOW I CAN'T WAIT TO ORDER SLOP FOOD FROM MY SLOP CAR WHILST I LISTEN TO SLOP MUSIC AND GO BACK TO MY SLOP HOME WHERE MY WIFE MIGHT LET ME HAVE SLOPPY SECONDS TONIGHT
>>28666413every single one of those videos is carefully staged and paid for
>>28667093You've never driven a Tesla and you're just a doom-monger>stop the wipers from destroying themselvesControlled in the steering wheel. Not that you need it because they're automatic.>get the correct lights turned onWhat even are the "correct" lights? Headlights are either on or off. You don't need to fuck around with them on the highway. High beams are on the steering wheel too.>disable the lane assist that keeps trying to drive the car into the ditch because it saw a lump of snow on the lane and mistook it for road markingsSince when does lane keep assist override the driver's steering input?>tone down the excessive regen that causes the car to lose grip and spin out of control if you accidentally raise the accelerator pedal 1% too muchThis is where you jumped the shark. For starters that's not even how it works. Literally no EV, Tesla or otherwise, has ever "spun out of control" because of regen braking. If you've ever driven an EV you'd know regen braking isn't nearly that strong. It's no stronger than engine braking. It's also not something you need to change WHILE driving. You set it once when you first get the car and then never ever change it again. Like I'm not gonna say I wouldn't rather have a traditional stalk set up the lights and wipers and cruise control but it's also not the end of the world. The auto systems work pretty well 99% of the time and it's really not that much of a hurdle to use the buttons on the wheel when you do need to assume direct control.
i have never gotten into my regular car to go get fast-food, had a fuckin retard hand me a moldy hamburger bun in a sonic in like 2006 and I ain't went to eat fast food on my own volition since.
>>28666413OH SAY CAN YOU SEEBY THE GOLDEN ARCHES' LIGHT
>>28666413It pulls up to the correct window based on the verbal instructions from the intercom, and it waits until the driver has received the complete order and paid?
>>28667208Try again, Tesla shill.
>>28667579how could something like that be approved for production? is tesla run by jeets or something?
>>28667577They train vast videos of cars stopping at the coms, then small talks, then car moving along to the window, etc.Their training input take in consideration of outside cameras, microphone input, and maybe even internal driver camera motion.
the only good tesla was the very original model S and that's just because they were boutique vehicles with hand fitted interior elements. they've only gotten shittier as time goes on, you can find the iterative improvements in technology in other brands without the horrible tesla suck.
>>28667579Ah the ol' "he countered my original point so I'll just abandon it and try making a new one"
>>28667577Yes.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXsAWHiD0NM
>>28666502Now they have a full stack.Self driving from your garageOn to local neighborhood drivesOn to highwaysOn to city streetsOn to parking lotsSelf parking Just refinements and extra feature sets at this point.
>>28667590Lots and lots of lobbying and government subsidies.>>28667695The Tesla shill cries out in pain as he hypnotizes himself into repeating the same phrases and strikes you.
>>28666502I read "V14" and brain assumed that was the car's engine configuration. Oh, those were the days.
>>28667871Now we're on to ad hominem. Just speedrunning this whole process aren't we
>>28666413There are driverless road trains getting around in the Australian desert
>>28667935wow driving in a straight line down a big empty highway that's soo impressive
>>28668028That's just amerigolem driving.
>>28667034well seems like your dad passed that faggot gene to you then
Only gay "people" buy and use Teslas or electric vehicles (EVs) as a whole.
>>28667208Ranjesh, please put me in touch with your manager. I'd like to promote Tesla online for $0.005 per post.
Imagine not liking driving and posting here.
