Should I buy an Integra? I see these things pretty cheap on market place.
>>28667789If you can find one for cheap go for it. It's basically an upscale Civic with a better engine and bigger brakes.
>>28667789You should definitely buy an Integra if you're a young woman. But if you're a real man then you should buy a motorcycle.
>>28667789Where, if it hasnt been modded to death it is usually a high mileage rotbox.People want way too much for beat to death examples of these.
>>28667789A lot of those are cheap because their most recent owners had too many things go wrong, patched it up enough to be able to start and cross their fingers you are the same retard they were a year ago buying a project car. Be prepared for a lot of feature deletes, non-functional electronics, very loud exhaust and engine noise, etc. Very few people who buy these cars know how to actually to do repairs that need specialized tools so be prepared for 10+ years of deferred maintenance on the suspension.Theoretically they are good cars and if you find one that is well cared for but those are going to be rare examples at this point in time.
>>28667832>But if you're a fag then you should buy a motorcycle.ftfy
>>28668103Nah L take, if you've never ridden a bike then YOURE the fag
>>28667789>I see these things pretty cheap on market place.why not? Just remember how old these are and the fine technical skill required to keep them operating properly. So many decades had passed since they were popular- but so many NEW aftermarket support parts have been released for this platform. The most recent ones being K-series engine swaps and even the US-legal newer ones like the L15B7 turbo engines from 2018 Civic Si. You can even do cool stuff like wireless key remote start for the ignition these days.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-frcbAyo2N8
>>28668239>YOURE the fagshut up, crotch vibrator leather slacks enjoyer. Go be a faggot motorcycle rider somewhere else.
>>28667832>I-I'm a real man!Go get ran over by a cop, you fucking fruit.
>>28667789Had a 1994 Integra. These are rusted to hell at this point and clean ones aren't worth it unless you mod the living shit out of them. And by that, I mean strip it to shell and replace literally everything. Oh, and 140 hp iirc.A 2008 - whatever that gen is Si has 200 hp and is already old as shit. Had one of those too.Basically the integra has a huge engine bay that's easy to work and is basic as shit in a good way, you can rev the throttle from under the hood. That's kind of cool, until your fucking mechanical timing goes off under that little gray plastic box.In short, the answer is absolutely not unless you have a VERY good reason.
>>28668375>Had a 1994 Integramy friend had one also a 94 i think, idk what engine it had but we borrowed it one time to run to the store and it accelerated like a fucking dog (compared to the heavy ass old 90s gmc truck i used to drive with like 200hp to put it in perspective) i did not like that car at all after that, i thought it was dog shit, maybe it was a super basic model with like the worst engine available
>>28667832>you should buy an inferior option
>>28668375the real reason and to clarify your opinion:b-series and to a lesser extent d-series distributors are getting rare as fuck and the igniters all kill themselves from 20+ years of heat cycles and vibration, the chinese ones are shit and good used ones go for $$$$and the rust is a real problem if you live anywhere at this point, even down south most of them were sold in salt-states and traveled down (west coast being exception)
>>28668517Nowadays you can just get a digital distributor and run COP.
>>28668573Link? I've got a d16 I need to do this to
>>28668517stop being poor, change over to coil on plug setup.
>>28668089This applies to BMWs too, holy fuck. That was 1:1 my experience
>>28670986https://www.speedrevival.com/tech/digidizzy/
>>28667789hell yeah, and put a loud ass exhaust and some massive subs in it
Imagine paying 26.900€ für a 20 years old Honda with over 200k km on the odometer
>>28667789GaySlowWrong wheel drive
>>28667832>REAL men become paraplegics after yaquisha rear ends them because she's too busy looking at her phone, eating and smoking weed!
>>28668089>specialized toolsThis guy does not know what he is talking about. These cars are like legos, you can find parts for them at every junkyard in the US and Canada, every B series from those years is a plug and play, and rockauto/ local parts store will always have maintenance parts for these for cheap. Integras are like shit on a farm, they are not hard to repair.
>>28671470That's just a pre-order though, are they in production?
>>28668517thats why the digidizzy is a thing now
>>28672484i have one theyve been out for years theyre just like 900$
>>28673409How do you get one? 900 is a small price to get my ej8 back on the road
>>28674430https://digidizzy.com/ols/products/digidizzy/v/DGD-RAW-BLL-V1-BD1it's pretty fuckin dope, you don't even need a timing light anymore to set ignition timing, you just set the crank to TDC on the marks, then hit a button on the digidizzy (with the cover off) and it has an LED that lights up when you're in time. I didnt 10000% trust it the first time made a coil wire extension for the k series coils so I could double check it afterwards with a timing light and it was spot on
>>28674601Sick, I know what I'm getting next payday. I've been chasing misfires for months with this thing
>>28667789I had a 92 1.8L RS 5M. I enjoyed the car quite a bit. Since it was a two door, the doors were massive on it. Man I miss that car sometimes.
I've owned 2, a 99 LS and a 97 GSR.GSR only has 35~ hp more but it's incredibly noticable. LS gets fucking 40mpg highway with a proper CAI and some throttle cable adjustment. You really can't go wrong with these cars. The 4 doors have small but usable back seats, much like the same gen accords. The hatch is able to fit more stuff but rear passengers must be <5'11'' or their head will bounce off of the hatch glass.
>I bought my integra a week after buying my first motorcycle>I sold my integra for 7k in 2023 after buying it for 2k in 2018>my motorcycle sells for the same I bought it forStonks?
>>28667789Are the new ones any good? They look cool
>>28676270There is a bunch of threads on them here. I have a CTR and am >>28668375The new Integras are a huge disappointment (just like the CTR really). Fuckhueg, not a coupe. FWD unlike same-priced options, specifically Supra and Z. Z might be a piece of shit, but it's still slightly faster, better looking, and smaller. If you go up a bit, there is the M2. Basically, there is a huge why factor with ITS. Normal Integras are just shit and have rev hang. The main appeal of the CTR is it's still the cheapest option in terms of long term cost.
>>28668089This a 1000x. I got this a hand me down and BOY it was missing lots of stuff. Not only that, the car is lowered down. The car constantly leak and I have to repair something every two years for a smog check.
>>28671469Same, wound up dumping $8k into a $1500 5 series over 4 years. I'm stuck with it now.
