correct, 2 seaters are based. i don't know why people pretend they need full size back seats when they're empty 99.9% of the time. adults can organize their own transport, and children can fit in the back of a porsche. simple as.

Oh so it's not actually a sports car. Makes sense too, anything that's slower than a Corvette is just a "sporty" daily driver

Daily Driver: Ferrari GTC4 Lusso vs Porsche 911 (991.1)

Ferrari GTC4 Lusso:

Pros: Seats 4, huge trunk (~450L), adaptive suspension, AWD, very fast, insane prestige. Comfortable for long drives.

Cons: Heavy (~1.9t), expensive to run (fuel, insurance, tires), large footprint makes city driving/parking tough, complex systems = more things that can break.

Porsche 911 (991.1):

Pros: Nimble, lighter, easier to park, excellent ride with PDK & PASM, lower running costs, reliable platform, fun driving experience, proven engine.

Cons: Small rear seats, limited trunk space (~125L), less exotic “wow factor,” older tech depending on model.

Verdict:
For pure daily driving — commuting, errands, city traffic — the 911 edges out the Lusso. It’s more manageable, reliable, and cost-effective, while still being fun and sporty. The Lusso excels in comfort, space, and prestige but will burn through money and patience in daily use.

Hard truth:

Lusso = luxury, space, and prestige at a high cost; daily wear and tear is brutal.

911 = balanced, practical fun with lower headaches, but less flashy.

If your priority is daily practicality, reliability, and manageable costs, go 991.1. If you want space, prestige, and exotic presence, Lusso wins—but expect to pay dearly every day.

Muscle cars are childish by design. Their massive V8 engines, often 5–7liters, guzzle fuel just to make noise, not deliver usable performance, proving spectacle matters more than competence. Oversized hoods, stripes, flared fenders, and giant spoilers exist solely to look “cool,” not to improve handling—like a sticker on a skateboard. Exhausts are obnoxiously loud, signaling ego rather than skill. Practicality is sacrificed entirely: tiny trunks, brutal suspensions, and poor visibility make them miserable for real-world use. Compare this to a Porsche 911: precise, balanced, nimble, refined, with engineering designed for competence, efficiency, and true driving pleasure. Every element of the 911—from handling to build quality—is purposeful, understated, and mature, while muscle cars are toys paraded around for thrill and image. Muscle cars are fantasies for adults refusing to grow up; the 911 is a tool for those who actually know how to drive.

>>
why do feminine males get so very upset when you tell them women prefer masculinity (v8)?
it's nothing personal, just the natural order of nature
>>
>>28668509
genuinely what drugs are you smoking retard? when you drive a car daily, there are plenty of opportunities for sporty driving. they are related. As enthusiasts, we want the cars we drive everyday to be fun or exciting. to act like they're totally separate is retarded, no we don't have to confine ourselves to luxo-barges for daily driving, grandma. the point of this thread is to discuss how the 911 is ideal because it can be comfortable and refined, while also being sporty. corvette owners are seething because their car is unrefined and childish.
>>
>>28668514
>thread is on daily driving
>main talking point is what women prefer
completely unrelated. and btw, it is feminine to care what women think.
>>
>>28668515
Maybe your commute is to some sort of medieval castle located in the alpine region of switzerland on twisty roads, but for the vast majority of us, daily driving is being struck in mind numbing traffic at sub speed limit speeds. Thus both of them are terrible options. People daily drive 911s and corvettes because on the weekends they actually get to use them for non daily driver tasks.
>>

Must be really tiring caring so much about what other NPC retards think. >>
>>28668540
holy mother of ESL and assumptions LMFAO, you really need to take more english classes for that reading comprehension, because i said nor implied any such thing lol
my point was that for the average male, 90% of the reason they buy any car worth more than a corolla is for status. hence why GT3RSes stroll down the streets of miami/NYC/LA/etc at geriatric speeds and you’ll almost never see one doing any performant unless it’s driven by those 10% of men. do you get it now, europoor? I don’t even disagree with your premise you’re just too retarded to understand me or the other anon
>>
>>28668546

>>28668560
You're getting closer, and I suppose if you're an older gentleman it would be the right car for you. That car also balances sportiness and refinement, but obviously puts much heavier emphasis on the refinement. For someone, that is the right balance. For most under the age of 40, the 911 strikes a better balance, with a much greater focus on sporting ability.
>>
>>28668566
this isn’t a 4 door nor a rolls royce, it’s perfectly fine for someone under 40 provided they actually have the wealth to back it up. it’s also much more exclusive than a 911 which is basically daily traffic in any municipality that had a dentist
>>
>>28668567
sure your car is 'fine', but the 911 is simply a better sports car, and more refined in an important way: the 911 is more subtle. Bentleys are a bit grand in a bad way, and lose some refinement points on account of all the jewelry it has, inside and out.

100-130k range... 911 carrera s, 7:25.00 burg time, z06 z07, 7:07.30
150-170k range... 911 carrera gts, 7:20.98 burg time... still slower than a z06
~200k range... 911 turbo s, 7:17.00 burg time, 911 gt3, 6:51.76, zr1 ztk, 6:50.76

intentionally being retarded by making statements as asinine as americans being incapable of making dailies is very much deserving of the label “contrarian”. no amount of whining about corvettes will change that
>>
>>28668652
99.9% of your daily driving is going to be just you and maybe some groceries or a +1. So if anything larger cars are actually suboptimal daily drivers due to all the useless extra size. Those times if any where you do need lots of seats is what your second car is for - or what your wife's car is for for the family men. And on that note the c8 has 13 cubic feet of storage space which is more than pretty much any other comparable performance car, too.
There was never an argument that it was one car that can be all things to all people so arguing as if it was is just disingenuous. If someone has the means then something like a 911 or C8 would provide an excellent experience for the large majority of the large majority of people's lifestyle. Though the Corvette team's brand-mates over at Cadillac make their own strong arguments, from a different angle.
>>
>>28668665
>daily driving involves potholes, unpaved roads, and more
Actually anon, I live in a developed city with good roads. Ruraltards can't afford porsches so they're irrelevant.
>maybe if the comparison is to a land rover I suppose
They are reliable.
>fuel economy
Porsche 911 Carrera (992)

Engine: 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six
Combined fuel economy: ~22–23 mpg (U.S.), or 10–10.5 L/100km
Highway: up to ~28–30 mpg

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8)

Engine: 6.2L naturally aspirated V8
Combined fuel economy: ~19 mpg
Highway: up to ~26 mpg

So, the 911 gets about 10–20% better fuel economy across the board.

>still posting track times in the daily driving thread
how many times?
>>
>>28668679
he's given up on calling it a sports car at this point, and is now desperately trying (and horribly failing) to prove that it's actually a daily driver
>>
>>28668674
>Actually anon, I live in a developed city with good roads. Ruraltards can't afford porsches so they're irrelevant
So you admit the 911 isn’t actually suited to daily driving in various conditions for people of varying geographical and urban regions? Awesome. Let’s end the thread here then.
>>28668673
If you have to consider a second car then it’s a shit daily. Full stop. Your daily is the practical one, your weekend car is the impractical sports car. Anything else is pants on head retarded and completely contravenes how the average two-car owner operates in real life as opposed to to the thought experiments from the craniums of retards here.
>>
>>28668668
Nice projection
>>
>>28668681
it's my thread
i started it bait poorche fangirls and it worked perfectly
>>
>>28668683
It is a sports car, and being 1-2 seconds slower around a track doesn't prevent it from being a sports car. While being a fun, capable sports car, it also plays the daily driver role effectively, making it the best mix of both worlds.
>>
>>28668685
yes anon, you got me! Correct, the 911 isn't an offroader. Correct, if you live down a dirt track, it's not the right daily driver for you. Well spotted!
>>
>>28668688
okay but why does it have to be so slow?
>>
>>28668685
If you don't try to make one car do everything, then practicality takes very different dimensions. Free your mind, and enjoy your life.
>>
>>28668691
faster than the bus you catch anon.
>>
>>28668407
>it can carry 4 people.
Tell me you've never seen a 911 without telling me you've never seen a 911.
>>
>>28668691

When TM Opera O was winning every race he entered, Meisho Doto was always coming second to him. At the time, people would say, when Doto looked ahead, he saw a demon - but when everyone else looked ahead, they saw two demons.
You can be fast and still not be the fastest.
>>
>>28668693
the bus is a better daily driver
>>
>>28668695
2 adults and 2 children
>>
>>28668696
so it's not a sports car and it isn't a daily driver
huh
what were we talking about again?
>>
>>28668697
/o/ has descended to the point of anons putting the bus over a porsche 911, it is truly dark times for this board
>>
>28668692
you don’t even deserve a reply, try better bait next time
>>28668692
daily driving can and will involve unexpected, unpredictable and unusual events that don’t consist of driving on perfect asphalt for three whole miles. i understand gas is very expensive in europe so you likely have never experienced different, but do try to understand people do real work outside of your decaying continent
>>
>>28668699
the 911 is a vehicle that solely exists to give personality-lacking dentists and aristocrat cock-sucking europeans a way to one up their follow man even if they don’t own one
>>
>>28668699
my dick in u're ass anon, tighten up, im about to finish
>>
>>28668700
/o/ cares about reproducing now, not cars. the bus is a great place to mingle and meet new women
>>
>>28668698
you've never owned a 2+2 never mind a 911 in your life and it shows
>>
>>28668706
>the bus is a great place to mingle and meet new women
>>
>>28668701
The C8's mag dampers handles even the roughest asphalt with aplomb. Dunno about porsche but maybe they have a similar option. Sorry if that upsets you.
>>
>>28668709
do you have anything to reply to the facts I said or are you going to continue to attack the character of an anonymous user? A character you don't actually know due to the anonymity?
>>
>>28668712
the burden is on you to prove that the 2+2 arrangement specific to the 911 is as practical as a typical daily to use.
>>28668711
nowhere did I claim the corvette was completely incapable of handling potholes as if it was some sort of early life axle pile of crap. the better question is can it handle it comfortable AND the other impediments which you conveniently neglected to address?
>>
>>28668715
the burden is on you to prove you're driving more than one adult around on a daily basis, and exactly why its worth choosing a car around whoever that backseat adult is. In my book, I'll drive my wife/gf around, but any other adults can find their own transport and I'll continue driving my sports car. I'm not gonna ruin my driving dynamics for backseats that are never used
>>
>>28668720
Okay, let’s start from the beginning. I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume we’re simply disagreeing on the definition and capabilities of a daily. Maybe the criteria you have in mind work for your “daily” and not for me. What does a daily need to do for you, then? I’m impressed we’ve gone 150 replies without clarifying this.
>>
>>28668715
Yes it can handle it comfortably. The CND team testing one didn't even notice that they had bent rims on all four wheels due to how good it is at smoothing out bumps. They are noted for ride quality when set as such in the performance car space, which is often set as an afterthought of course.
>>
>>28668722
an ideal daily for me is one that can go around the burger king quickly

>>
>>28668734

26 mpg isn't bad mileage. That's actually more than a BMW M3, long considered an archetype for 'do everything car'. People are out here dailying jeeps and trucks getting 15 or less.
>>
>>28668739
careful, we’re in the midst of europeons here, any car with less than 40 mpg is unusable as a daily.
give them a 911 and they’ll swap in a 4 cyl converted to run on CNG

Your mistake is thinking they own corvettes. They're just trying to antagonize 991 guy. 911 is an awesome daily. Corvette probably is too.

The Toyota civic exists to give poor fags a way to fill superior to their clearly superior rich counterparts
>>

Panamera is superior in every way but ok

Says the guy who doesn't own a panamera, 911, nor a Corvette kek
Post daily driver
>>
>>28668447
You'll own neither car but fanboy one of them. What a pathetic existence.

This dusty decade old base model making 300 hp does get done and dusted by 3 series althoughbeit. You want to play with the big boys you buy a Turbo or GT3. Simple as.
