Toyota is just meme after all.
any car made after the pandemic is trash, toyota isn’t special here. just buy an older car.or are you just too scared not to have carplay in your car, zoom zoom?
>>28668747Nu-toyota is no longer reliable. It is crappier than others nowadays.
>>286687473 Vin>>286687604 Vin Both aren't J Vin.
>>28668781That would be changed so soon.
>>28668781Yaris gr is j vin and still explodes
>>28668760And what is reliable nowadays ?
>>286688573cylinder cars were always sus.But when the car tells you"AWD is disabled because transmission overheating" means it was never a track car.
>>28668862Nothing.
>>28668781Mine has endless little difficulties with its front bumber which always comes a bit loose at the corners and is never quite straight.
>>28668747And the buyer of that lemon still insists on buying Toyota. How can such fanboy mentality be fixed?
>>28668748This. I drive Fords.

>>28668747I have a friend who works at the Toyota dealership. He says the new motors aren’t lasting. The 4’s or the 6’s. You just can’t get the same long term reliability with less cylinders. Every part in the engine is under twice the stress.
>>28669756No shit.
>>28669751>Top of WARD - BMW B58 I knew it. Many weebcels will get triggered over this. lmao
>buy messican made car >it sucksWow. Who saw that coming?
>>28669762Beautiful engine tbqhwy. I completely disagree with the crowd on this one. Great package and I think it'll be vindicated as the years go on. It's built like a diesel and has a battery backing it up so it should never be under stress during normal driving. I think the issue is the American consumer wants to run 87 slop. Bump it up to midgrade or e85 and that thing will do 500k.
>>28669791“Built like a diesel” lmao yeah bro, that’s why it’s drowning in 10 miles of wire harness and plastic puke.Toyota really said “what if we make a 4-banger so overcomplicated that even looking at it voids the warranty.”“Never under stress” — sure, if you ignore the 20+ psi of boost, sky-high compression, paper-thin bearings, and 0W-8 cooking oil trying to hold it all together.Audi’s 4.2 makes power without pretending to be an iPhone motherboard. Toyota’s “beautiful package” looks like a cyberpunk blender. Also love the “it’ll last 500k if you use E85 and pray to Akio Toyoda” cope. Yeah man, nothing says reliability like requiring premium fuel and divine intervention.>IT IS OK WHEN THE NIP DOES IT!!!!oh yeah...
>>28669791Most retarded take of the day award shoe-in, strong contender for most retarded take of the month
>>28669828Toyota specs these to their commercial truck specifications. The old v6 is an absolute turd. Toyota essentially set the standard for hybrid power trains. The little 4 cylinders cooling system is set up for an engine 3 times it's displacement. Boost is nothing scary.>Dude just use premiumMy point was this thing on corn will be a monster and give up absolutely nothing to a similarly speced diesel truck.>>28669833>Old good new badHorrible take. Old trucks are shit and Toyota was one of the worst offenders in the sold past their expiratory date technology.
>>28669828one day we'll no longer be able to source 1uzs :(they're already around 2500 bucks where im at
>>28668747Toyota's reputation comes from it's 80s-90s vehicles. Maybe up to 2005 but onward is just cheap planned obsolescence slop like everything else.
>>28669078Bumper clips breaking off on their own is a common Goyota problem, and suspension going to shit within 20-40k miles, and headlights/touchscreens getting too dim due to low quality wires, and now their transmissions are kabooming. They're not reliable anymore, shame. Nothing these days is. I'm just going to build a Model T type vehicle with ebike hub motors. I'm done with this shit, cars are a fucking scam.
>>28669838>their commercial truckOddly enough I still see Hino commercial trucks doing 300k+ for gas and 500k+ for diesels. You don't see Isuzu or others on the market with that many miles.
I got a 2025 Camry and regret it quite a lot. The plastic rattles are insane though I wonder if it would have been the case with any new car. I drive a banged up 2019 CRV for work with 100 000km and the only thing that squeaks is the seat spring. I don't think I'll buy a new car ever again. Gotta make mistakes sometimes to learn from them, I guess.
>>28669791>It's built like a dieselThen they should've went diesel instead. Turbos on gassers are for performance, but the entire industry is using them to game EPA loops and EU retardation instead and still think they can cost engineer the associated components.>>28669838>Toyota essentially set the standard for hybrid power trainsThese do NOT have those powertrains. It's a completely different system and shows why they never tried anything before when everyone kept asking Toyota where the hybrid Tacoma and 4runner were. The Maverick hybrid is using the system you're talking about.
>>28669838> Old good new badI never said that. Old was alright, new is fucking garbage. Overstressed 4 cylinder turbo in a truck is so fucking stupid.
>>28669869> the entire industry is using them to game EPA loops and EU retardationYep, the euro emissions standard is absolute cancer for vehicle design.
>>28669863oof. seems like the previous gen was still ok. my 2018 camry is still holding up fine, dont think there's any squeaking or rattling at all.
>>28669888You keep saying overstressed yet it isn't. It's got a piggyback battery for low end grunt and a 4cyl that won't do anything but near idle down the highway. It's boosted to recirculate exhaust and heat it for the converters. Boost is more about emissions than performance these days though it does play a small part in getting up to speed. You're arguing out of both sides of your mouth. This engines entire purpose in life is to cruise at 75 down the highway for 300k miles. It isn't a race engine and isn't tuned like one.Only con I see is it isn't flex fuel when it should be.
>>28668747EVERY CAR MADE AFTER 2019 IS SHIT!
>>28669927Kindly hang yourself immediately.
