I went to 3 dealers yesterday to look at trucks. The best deal I could find based on percentage off MSRP was Nissan Frontier SV trim. OTD is was still over 40k with them only knocking off 1580$ from sticker. I like the truck sub-40k but over that I'm not interested. I said that to say this, none of the dealers I went to were particularly interested in making a sale. What is actually happening here? They being too uppity with their merchandise? They said they operate on "no hassle pricing" which means the price is what they set and there's no changing it. I walked out of there within 3 minutes of stepping in the door. I know it's not me who's the problem because I've bought plenty of new cars in the past and have gotten as much as 4500 off sticker on one car but that was before COVID.
