Anon, have you ever submitted a diminished value claim? A retard smashed into the back of my car and caused over $30,000 in damage. It was repaired and everything looks fine, but its market value is clearly reduced. I just submitted the request to State Farm today. I asked for $2,600 based on the 17c diminished value algorithm.
They didn't total it? Isn't that half the price of a used m3?
>>28676370Depends on your state and the legal precedents already set by previous lawsuits. In Califucklia for example, it's hard to get DV. But in Georgia or some other states it's well established and inswhoreance cuntpanies will basically automatically pay out if you ask them.
>>28676426It's a 2022. It's worth about 65k you poorfag. I'm in MD so I think they do DV claims here... the auto body guy even suggested it to me.
>>28676572Can't believe that plastic bumper is worth 30k. Even with the radar sensors, camera, carbon fiber it seems too much. >poorfagMy car is with more than yours tho
>>28676370I asked for $5,400 and was offered $4,500. My lawyer recommended I take it.
I'll give you 5 grand for it not a penny more. BMWs are a fun little fuck around car but not something anyone would actually depend on getting around in.
>tis but a scratch>30,000 dollars in damageRichfags are the biggest suckers.
>>28676719>says the guy who paid $30k in damages for a $2.6k repair
>>28676729Wot?
>>28676746In the butt
>>28676588It was the bumper, lid, carbon fiber diffuser (had to order the entire kit), axleback exhaust, and even the midpipe. Pretty amazed that the midpipe had actual damage. I thought the auto body guys were trying to scam the insurance company, but I saw the bend in the midpipe myself.
The frozen portimao blue paint also factored into the cost because it's rare and requires specialized knowledge.
