why are motorcycle “riders” like this?
tldrzoomers are so brain dead that they need to write a novel to get their point across
>>28677877I don't know any riders like that but I only know a handful of riders and most of them are through my ADV buddy and they do all kinds of crazy shit
>>28677877>60F>too coldI'd fucking love some actual fall weather here. It's been 90-100F since June and I'm sick of monkey butt from riding.
>>28677881tldr is that i don’t like people who talk big talk and then walk small walk
most motorcycle riders ride as a pathetic attempt to appear manly, just like their gay beards.
>>28677891still not reading it
I want a motorcycle but at the same time i know how retarded and distracted the average car driver is these days, and my mom would be said if i got ran over, so cars only it is for me.
>>28677913you’ll be quite safe if you stay off highways and maintain good awareness
The issue is you're trying to group all motorcycle riders together. We're a rather varied group.
>>28677958hes referring to the epidemic of crotch rocket foggots that post on tiktok "GAHHH IM SOOO LONELY SHE HURT ME SO I RIDE RECKLESS" "HAH, I KNOW ITS DANGEROUS, I CARE MORE ABOUT THRILLS THAN LIFE" Then they die like the retards they are and everyone acts like it was a freak accident even though it was inevitable with how reckless they ride.
>>28677877I ride in the peak of summer in Phoenix. It fucking sucks but oh well.
>>28677965Hey hey some of us actually survive long enough to get into a healthy and stable relationship and move on to 70's UJMs
>>28677931Ironically the opposite. Can't make a zoned out left turn onto a freeway 20 feet in front of an uncoming motorcycle, which is the 3rd most common moto accident after excessive speed for a curve and drunk riding.
>>28677888Agreed. 60-70 is peak riding weather.
>>28677931I live in queens (NY), and there's always a story about how someone gets run over here. The roads are tight and there's always construction going on here near JFK. If i lived upstate or another state i think it would be more viable.>>28678012Yeah the left turns where people dont see the bike coming seem to be very common.
Not all are like that. They are the least common denominator though. I can ride in rain. Its just i have trouble seeing and avoid when possible.
>>28678053I generally cannot handle below 35f. Incan bundle the body up, but even with good winter gloves my fingers become the weakest link. I probably just need to suck it up and get some of those hand covers like the JPs use for winter delivery up in Hokkaido.
>>28677877I rode an R3 49 miles home at 4 am from work in 17 degrees F. Pussy>>28678053That same bike and in that same color I sat on, and loved it. Excellent taste man.
>>28678060Why not get a heated coat that connects to the bikes battery?
>>28677888Sadly we didn't get much fall where I am. It was 91 last week and it's supposed to snow next week. It was 68 today so I got the bike out but only for a few errands and it's probably the last time of the year unless we get a surprise heatwave.
>>28677877I ride my bike to work every day (3 days per week) in all weather. It's about an hour each way.I agree that people are wimps when it comes to riding in bad weather. It's always too hot, too cold, too dark, too wet, too windy... Just neverending excuses. It's almost as bad as the people who just LOVE telling you about how they wish they could have a bike, but they're either too scared of crashing or their wife won't let them.
>>28678060Having a tall windscreen makes a big difference for your chest and neck area, but heated gloves are the gold standard for your hands.Mine are "glove liners" that go underneath your regular gloves. But if I bought them again, I would get actual heated motorbike gloves, and probably some that just plug into a 12V port rather than having their own battery. I wear my heated gloves any time it's below about 10C, and along with thermals and a midlayer I'm good down to the coldest temps that we get here (0C or slightly below). With shorter rides you can get away with a lot less, but I've found your perceived temperature really drops after about 45min.
>>28678060Heated grips might be worth considering. They're pretty cheap and easy to install as part of a grip upgrade. My cold weather issue is that my area is infamous for ice and if it's under about 40 in the daytime that means it was below freezing at night and there's almost certainly gonna be ice somewhere.
>>28678053nice seat cover, where'd you get it? Do you have heated grips?>>28678069>-8CHow were your hands?Check out this guy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLj1EKMslssI usually ride until there's snow on the ground, but this year I picked up a dual sport and want to try to ride in the colder months.
Anyone here use a monosuit with a bike? These are for snowmobile riders so I'm sure they'd work well.My only thoughts are that the inseam might be too short with motorcycle ergos.
I got sick of people in cars looking at me straight in the eye and nearly killing me so I don't ride anymore
>>28678282
>>28678291Ah yes, this will work out well for the motorcyclist.
>>28677877Some people ride because they enjoy it, and riding during bad weather kinda sucks.Like have you biked before? I bike to commute. Going 20mph makes it feel like 15 degrees colder than it actually is. It's horrendous when its raining. I cant imagine what this is like at 60+ mph, fuck
>>28678357i could never get into og mad max because the idea of the biker gangs was retarded, irl you'd just shove them off the road and run em over
To the thread: Skill issue.
>>28677877only those riders say anythingyou don't hear from riders like me who would say it's alright, a bit of fun sometimes, but a lot of the time I'm cold and wet on the freeway at 6 AM because commuting is not a religious experience>>28677965>muh dangerlolimagine being one of these retards>yeah bro I crashed 15 times aint I tough>danger don't bother methey did it to themselves
>>28678389You must only watch documentaries huh
>>28678460well yeah, it going well for the bikers is fiction.
>>28677877Odd strawman to get mad at.
>>28677882like 75% of the people on sport bikes are fucken larping goobers who ride for like 15 minutes at a time because they bought some miserably uncomfortable rocket, and 50% of the people riding on R3s, ninja 300s, CBR300s,etc saw some shit on tiktok and bought them because they're cheap and look modern and immediately jump into "BIKING IS MY LIFESTYLE' while wearing some dumbass reflective visor on their helmet desperately trying to look cooltiktok and shitty influencers are a scourge on everything
You never hear this kind of drivel from scooterchads.
>>28678500is that a fucken GLAMSTERhell yeah brother
>>28678053>least common denominatorLow IQ post.I'm feeling generous today, so I will let you try again, if you think you are up to it.
>>28678497>>28678362…
>>28677877Bikes are for dykes
