Should you help a neighbor repair their car if they ask?
When should you charge?
When do you say no?
>>
Do you live in a racially homogenous, high trust neighborhood?
>>
I'm friends with my neighbour and would be happy to help them wrench if they asked. I wouldn't charge because I'm not a fucking jew. I'd refuse if I thought the work was beyond my capability or if I have prior engagements.

Pretty white, would call it somewhat high trust but not a particularly good community if that makes any sense

I just ask because a neighbor has hinted at wanting free diag work on his business truck.

This. either accept or refuse. you dont charge your fucking neighbors or friends for work
unless youre like some teenager mowing peoples lawns for money

I had to move to a black/Mexican neighborhood (with a surprisingly large Thai and some kind of Asian muslim population) and I helped my Mexican next-door neighbor fix his car and he kept me in beer for a year straight
He and his brother also taught me to speak Mexican, and told me who was involved with gangs and who was safe
I gave my black neighbor a cigarette and he asked me if white people eat tilapia then gave me five pounds of tilapia
He overheard me talking about guns with my wife and told me one night while we were smoking if he hears that bang bang he'll come running and if I hear that bang bang I need to come running
His name was Jazz and he lived with his ex-girlfriend's mom, who like him more than her daughter
It was an odd time in my life

Unless it's a light bulb or something that I can do in 5 minutes, I tell them to get lost. Sorry but that's how it is.

People will fuck you over if you let them. Maybe this sounds antisocial or not neighborly, but not my problem.

If they're helping me with the work I don't charge. If they're like "Hey can I drop my car off and have you do x-y-z to it" they're getting charged. $50/hr shop rate, no mark up on parts - it's a damn sight better than any shop in the area. IIRC the cheapest shops in the area are $140/hr and any parts under $100 get the price doubled.

Yes, but you should only take trade: Drink and smokes, food and sex.
If you let the govt get their dirty currencies involved you're gonna have a bad time.

this is trvly the beavty of america

I helped twice in the last 12 months. Although I wasn't able to fix it (parts were all special order) I did diagnose the problem correctly.

Was happy to help and asked nothing in return, although they did give me a cup of tea and then a box of chocolates. I'd do it again because they're nice people.

I charge $50 an hour or equal or greater value sexual favor.
>>
Sometimes I get involved in non-paid auto work and I always mostly regret it. Usually it's family, though so it's harder to say no, especially if they've been helpful to me.

Does he own the business? You may get some free services down the road if you help, but if not, don't bother. Only because it'll become a huge pain for you if his company is one that doesn't do repairs.

>tilapia
Whites don't eat that trash.

>Should you help a neighbor repair their car if they ask?
If they are good and pass the shit test (Basic humanity test).
>When should you charge?
You shouldn't ask, they should pay you whatever or a case of beer of your choice.
>When do you say no?
If they fail the shit test or if the job is higher than your skill level.

>4Chan help me get a personnality

I think you should refuse because if not they will ask again.

If you are gonna do it for money, charge them right away, charge them lower than businesses and they will still be grateful.

I would personnality outright refuse. I have better shit to do with my time, i refuse to take the resposability to fuck up their car, and I have a decent paying job.

>Should you help a neighbor repair their car if they ask?
Only if they're a friend. Otherwise, I'll never offer.
>When should you charge?
They usually pay for the meal.
>When do you say no?
Almost always.

Gave it to my MIL

My grandfather was a master tradesman and gave me some of the best advice I'll take to the grave... never reveal your full hand of what you can fix.

These people don't value you as a human being, they see you as a cheap repairman that they might can barter with smiles and a beer at best.
