What's a good used family car /o/ would rec? The wife and I are expecting our first kid in a few months.
Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4.
Don't ask /o/ for advice on this because they would recommend you an 87 Nissan Sentra with 350k miles on it.
>being marriedS-U-C-K-E-R
>>28678022Also expect to pay $25k for used to $40k new. Or just risk your wife and newborn. I don't know, maybe you aren't really into them.
You, sir, are looking for the '88 Nissan Stanza Wagon.
>>28678020What is your budget? Are you looking for an SUV, sedan, or what?
>>28678020First off, high probability that the kid isn't even yours.
post pics of your wife so we can judge

>>28678020Ah yes im sure we can really help you out even if we don't know what you want your needs your budget or even the COUNTRY you live in so considering all of this i reccomend you KILL YOURSELF
If you're married you already made the single dumbest mistake you could have made, OP. The only worse one would be listening to /o/ and driving a 40 year old Japanese shitheap,

>>28678020Kid #3 due in a month, I haven't had to change cars yet. Use the Diono seats and you can fit 3 across in a civic. It's tight but it works. My other car is a canyon, that's even slightly wider. If we get to four I'll have to buy a van, I think the Sienna is the best one. Timing chain bro.
well my parents when my sister was born bought a used 90 Caravan but ha ha how silly of me that was in 1992

>>28678020NORMIES GET OUT REEEEEE
>>28678020Diesel Excursion.More seriously, you'll want a minivan or similar for easiest access to the car seat through the sliding door. Sure, you can do that in a coupe but you're contorting yourself more to get there. More room to do things is always better. Then there's the supplies you'll want to carry if you go anywhere. Stroller, playpen, some toys, 6 mos of other necessary supplies that the infink will somehow manage to go through in an afternoon, and so on.What something like an Excursion will do though is retain value if cared for where the minivan will just be a complete loss. OTOH the minivan will be comparatively cheap because nobody wants to be caught dead in one.
My brother likes his minivan and the sliding door means his 4 kids won't slam the door into the car next to him
>>28678791best post, though avoid coupes as it's somewhat annoying to detach a carrier or wrangle a sleeping toddler out of the car seat placed in the back
>>28678024>>28678030only a viable option if he lives in Arizona or something where there's no road salt
>>28679028I've got my 3rd on the way and no planning to stop there. With 3 dogs and the smallest being 50 lbs, road trips are getting tricky. I love my 7.3 f350, but the prices of these Excursions has become insane. I just can't justify dropping more on this than a 6.2 Denali that has the panoramic moon roof, remote start, heated /vented seats/steering wheel and all the tech. Code the dfm out an it'll be nearly as reliable, and with the price of ulsd vs e10 87 the 6.2 will be cheaper to run overall, and about the same towing our camper. I don't know why Ford hasn't made a new one. An aluminum Excursion with a 6.7 or even the 7.3 gasser would be very appealing.

>>28678020Face-lifted Mercedes-Benz W204 with the M276 3.5 liter V6. Used with moderate (less than 80k miles) can be had for $10-12k depending on condition. Quick, safe, reliable. Wife had one that went to 170k miles before repairs started to get expensive.

>>28679039It was a joke. I don't care what OP gets b/c 90% of cars now are made for people with kids and dogs. He might as well give up and get a Rogue.
