Do you tip your mechanic?
I only tip food service wait staff. That's it. Or delivery if I ever did that.
>>28680990>"thank you for ripping me off"
My mechanic tips me by tightening my belts and putting air in my tires and not charging me extra for it. He also offered me a warranty on the brake job he and his brother did. I try to do as much of my own shit as I can, but it’s nice knowing if I fuck something up, he is a reliable fail-safe. He also buys shit box cars off people.
>>28680990>$2 tip for risking my life fixing your rusted shitboxdeadass I would shove those bills up your ass
>>28681088Nigga can't count? FR FR?
>>28681088>I would shove those bills up your assThat sounds kinda gay, man
>>28680990No. I'm my own mechanic. I don't trust anyone else to work on my car other than an alignment or balancing tires.
>>28681088Thank you automotive hero
I have before. Local Mazda dealership has a single dude that works on Miatas so anytime one goes in for service he is the one to work on them. I put a new steering wheel on and had the front aligned along with checking where a possible oil leak was. He did a great job, so next time I went there he remembered the car and I gave him two twenties because everyone likes cash. Who doesn't like extra money? Everyone knows mechanics are in short supply because the pay is low and expectations are high, especially when no one supplies them with tools.
>>28680990I tip myself with new tools
>>28681128Gay.
>>28680990Only reason people tip is because the screen starts at 15% and up, you literally have to click the custom button which takes you to another screen, then manually input the 0% tip. most people are too retarded to know this. I'm an hacker so I know about everything.
>>28681222i dont ever interract with a tip screen
>>28681228smart girl!
>>28680990I tip my electricion
>>28680990I have a few customers that give me $10-$20 sometimes. Although I have this one guy that's based as fuck and asks me how much I'm making off this job when working on his car, then he usually slips me $80-$100. it also helps that I'm the only mechanic in this hick town that will touch bmw/mercedes/jaguar/porsche.
>>28681269>electricionGracias.
>>28681460your french is very good!
>>28680990I round up when I pay him cash since he refills the tires, tops up washer fluid, ect.
>>28681005The actual grease monkey doing the work doesn't set the prices and gets like 20% of the exorbitant hourly rate the customer pays anyway. Your beef is with the retards at the service desk and management.
>>28680990Grease monkeys ate not human, God created them to fix our cars.
Depends on how you define tipping. I usually bring some cold yellowjackets when I pick up my car or parts he ordered for me. Then we drink and chat for a while. So I bring beer and entertain him, guess that's some sort of tipping huh?
>>28680990Merifat problem
>>28680990kinda. i reward him with sexual favours.
i have never ever tipped anyone for anything
>>28680990Why would anyone tip in civilized world ? You already get paid by your employer . Your salary is too small and u can't survive without tipping ? Well stop living in third world shithole .
>>28681661A $700 tip? Europeons are so generous, Americans would never.
>>28680990Imagine living in a 3rd world shithole where highly skilled trades are paid so little that they need tips lol lmao even
>>28681661yankoids have been brainwashed into thinking that asking an employer to pay a decent wage is communism
>>28681639Based.
>>28680990No. We don't tip around here. At least not if the person's working for a company. Might be willing to consider if it was more of a personal favor. But this is a civilized country based on contracts between equals, so if it's a company and I'm leaving the car there, a contract has already been signed and it should include the price for the completion of the tasks listed in the contract. If my car gets what it says in the contract, they get the money. And if the company doesn't pay its workers enough to live, they should quit and punch the boss on the way out for his vile disrespect of their professional skills.
>>28680990The person at the desk is least likely to actually work on your car.
>>28681825Kill yourself, honestly
