ITT we predict the next manufacturer to go belly up
>>28683378It should be Chrysler. They have two models.
Scums survive somehow
>>28683378nah, nissan will survive while infiniti goes tits up.
>>28683378Ford is unironically going belly up very quickly. I don't think they'll be next before Nissan but I don't think they'll be long after. Their planned obsolescence obsession has really started to haunt them, and they have the worst trouble out of any manufacturer of getting people to work on their garbage because of how horrible they are to work on. That's a pretty big problem when the majority of your income comes from retards constantly paying for parts and repairs. They've also lost a comedic amount of cultural relevance compared to Stelantis/GM. Their flogging of the Mustang branding and their trucks being overpriced cheap garbage compared to the competition (which are also overpriced garbage, but at least they don't feel cheap) have basically put them on the backfoot compared to the competition. When is the last time you thought of a truck and a Ford name was what came to mind? Or a performance car? Hell, they can barely keep up in the econobox sphere. At least Nissan has the cultural relevance of being seen as the broke nigga mobile. Ford is just forgotten about until some hispter redneck brings them up.
>>28683378buick, lincoln, and any other US car brands that have lost basically all of their US market share and depend on China for profits
>>28683378Volkswagen
>>28683425Wait, they have other models apart from the Mustang, F-series, nu-Ranger and nu-Bronco?>Captcha: VT KKK V
>>28683533Don't forget nu-Capri "The car nobody promised themselves."
>>28683509>golf/gti, tiguan, atlas existdoubt. they're less as an individual brand than they once were, but i dont see them going anywhere soon
>>28683564Forgot about that... What a miserable car that is.I would also suggest that Acura is going to disappear in America. I hardly see any new ones.
>>28683378Most likely they get absorbed into some conglomerate shitheap like Stellantis, VAG, or Renault. The last one would be particularly ironic.
>>28683378Getting my used nissan minivan soonI was wondering how to update the nav and apparently it's not even compatible with newer maps.. worthless screen
>>28683425On top of all of that, Ford sunk a lot of money into EVs nobody wants. They've leveraged their whole future on EVs just as AI data centers are starting consume more and more electricity (eventually driving prices way higher)
>>28683599Acura and Infiniti are fucking stupid because they are literally just Honda and Nissan for retard post war anti nip boomers
>>28683425I honestly think Ford's vax mandate is a root of a lot of it. A few years ago it was aluminum f-series, gen ii coyote, 7.3 godzilla, the 6.7 psd was getting about as much love as you can with a piss tank, nuBronc had meaningful hype... Now there's been no (good) innovation, coyote has a wet timing belt, mustang has down syndrome and screens everywhere, nubronc is about twice the price it should be... The only way I can think to explain how they lose on so many fronts at once is that anyone capable of making an informed, data driven decision focused on long term outcomes was not welcome to work there and everyone left has brain fog.
>>28683599Honda makes retarded amounts of money to the point where they can probably afford for Acura to not bring in as much as other manufacturers do with their luxury trim models.
>>28683755phone and a mount.
>>28683533Our family car Explorer has been decent aside from a water pump going down at like 120k
MaserratiAlfa Romeo
>>28683378How the fuck has nobody said Jag yet?
>>28684384First, Jag can land softly if Tata decides so. Second, if Jag indeed goes down it'll be less because of that thing and more because they killed off their cash cows.
>>28684384Because JLR is actually hugely profitable (ok, not this year because of the hack, but normally). They did $29bn in turnover last year.
>>28683576They shut down factories, they stopped producing certain models and haf massive lay offs. Maybe they are doing better state side, but not in the euro zone.It will get worse since they heavily invested in EVs and now people are tired of the scam, most cars being sold to companies for tax purposes.
>>28684384Jag has been fumbling it's way through the auto industry since their inception and it doesn't seem to be showing any signs on stopping. Land Rover has the luxury suv market cornered and is enough to keep the company itself afloat.
>>28683401I can't prove it for sure but Infiniti died with the FX Vettel Edition
>>28683425>Ford is unironically going belly up very quickly.>didn't mention their aluminum supplier just caught fire and won't be back up and running until 2026 crippling vehicle productionDude. Open a news paper. Otherwise good points, I agree. They really need to go back to the extreme basics with simple vehicles.
>>28683378Japan will never allow it.
>>28685803If Japan bails out Nissan like the US bailed out GM in 2008 it'd be fucking hilarious, but I don't think Japan even really cares if they die.>>28684654kwab didn't know that little detail
>>28683378>remembers when Nissan were legit competitors with Toyota in terms of quality>Still see 90s maximas, altimas, frontiers, and pathfinders on the road. It’s a shame because some of their modern engines are legit great. VK56 for example. They’re just stuffed into plastic vehicles.
>>28683378DAT ALTIMA BE LOOKIN GOOD DOUGH
>>28683378End of an era, once goated brand became nigsan Renault. Now it dies.
In europe opel isn't doing so great. It's a shame desu I really liked their cars prior to this move towards elecric (and the entire change in style)
