Look at the size of those wheels o no no noAdmit it, LP400 was a dogshit car
>>28683832it was the 60'si bet those are bias plies
>>28683844In what world was countach a 60's car
>>286838491971 is close for someone that probably hasn't experienced a date not starting with 20.;)
>>28683832>anon grasps the concept of technological progressholy shit dude, did you know Apple II can't run Skyrim?
>>28683872All I'm saying is that countach was always a behind the curve shitbox and even fucking detomaso deserved more respect than this shit
>>28683881In the eighties you could buy a Fiat Uno that was faster than an LP-500.My current shitbox is faster than one of those.
>>28683890Uno was 90's retard, and no you really couldn't.>>28683881Lamborghini was ALWAYS a nigh bankrupt tractor company that made a cool car once in a decade. It wasn't until Chrysler, and later VW bought them that their modern le cuhrayyzee supercar reputation popped up
>>28683832The best cars always have small wheels and narrow tires. They don't need those bandaid solutions to cover up poor chassis design.
>>28683872My folks told me they were clearing out the storage shed 2-3 years ago.I immediately ask about the functioning Apple IIGS with monitor and accessories I knew was in there."We threw that in the dumpster last week."Life is suffering.
>>28683890The Magnum P.I. Ferrari was 240hp and was first produced in 1977.There were decade old muscle cars from the big 3 that had twice the HP from the factory.
>>28683903>Uno was 90's retard, and no you really couldn't.1983, and yes you could.Isn't it past your bed time.
>>28683910boomer retards. My mom tossed my pokemon cards like that a few years back. Had a 1st gen Charizard in it, could have bought the bitch a new car.
>>28683914I mistook it for the Tipo and Punto.Still, a shitbox in every sense and nobody would ever look at one next to any Lambo ever.
>>28683921You wouldn't chose the Fiat but you could go faster.I know people with both.
>>28683917Somehow mine kept my '90s pokemon cards from the same storage unit. I've got quite a few first editions and '90s Japanese cards I got from early ebay.Honestly I would have preferred the Apple IIGS, I have no idea how to sell pokemon cards.
>>28683917Never let parents manage the preciouss
>>28683832Guarantee it's cooler and faster than whatever you drive.Post car.
>>28683913>gross sae
>>28683832LP400 set the standard for rear-mid engine body proportions forever
>>28683992>0-60 in 5.6 seconds.>1/4 mile in 13.5 seconds.Slower than the top trim offerings of GM, Ford and Mopar from a decade earlier.Cope & seethe, eurocuck.
>>28683913Euro cars have much shorter gearing as well as more power. The USDM cars were dogs in comparison.
>>28684677>240hpThat was an american spec Ferrari. Here's a 1969 429 BOSS Mustang (ya I went big. But I've actually known 2 guys that owned these. One was powder blue, other was grabber yellow).
Even if it wasn't technically great, it's still one of the most beautiful cars of the 1970s.
>>28684690These were underrated for insurance purposes and were closer to 500hp.Official numbers for a 1966 K-Code 289c.i. was 271hp
>>28683913im sure there were semi-trucks too. I mean whats the point? 250HP from a NA 3L Engine is bretty good for the early 80s.
>>28684698>These were underrated for insurance purposes and were closer to 500hp.Those sort of claims are all bullshit. Gross power numbers from heavily modified engines are worthless.
I may be the only poster here that’s driven one of these. It was a 1987 5000QV and it was in absolutely mint condition. The owner and I took it from the UK to Italy for a Lamborghini festival. I’ll start with the good bits. It’s a masterpiece of an engine. It really is that good and it makes everything else around it seem a bit mundane. The gearbox is decent and the clutch isn’t as heavy as I was led to believe. In traffic it wasn’t as bad as you’d expect an 80s supercar to be. The earlier ones are a bit worse, apparently, as are the US spec cars but overall it was adequate in normal use. Steering is excellent, the driving position complements it nicely and even though it has a reputation of being a handful it’s geared so long and has such wide tyres that it’s relatively civilised in dry weatherThe bad bits are really bad. That engine, as lovely as it is, makes no more than 350 at the wheels. It’s refined, revs nicely and makes a great sound but there’s no monster bit in it. The claimed power figures aren’t just optimistic, they’re flat out lies. I know they all did this in Italy and still do but it really is apparent that it isn’t making anywhere near the claimed power. It’s still rapid, and in the 80s it must have been unreal, but what you expect and what it delivers are very far apart. It’s terribly made to boot. Keep in mind this was a concourse car and had a small fortune spent on it over ten years at top garages and it felt like a kit car inside. Apparently the mechanicals and chassis are solid but the fit and finish is a joke. To top it off, the front end lifts north of 120. Everyone will tell you that they fixed this with the Miura but they didn’t, 99 percent of the cars are owned by people that never drive them so won’t notice. But the lift is flat out dangerous. The Diablo was better in every waythank you for reading my blog post
>>28684880It was very true.It was a different time.If you ordered a 429 with the drag pack option you received an engine with solid lifters. This was not mentioned in any literature or brochure and even the dealers were not aware of it until customers started bringing in vehicles with "valve tick" after break-in (solid lifters need frequent adjustment).
>>28685546Yeah i figured that it has such shit aero that it disqualifies it as a sports car. supposedly that meme rear wing used to make it even worse lmaohonestly how were people supposed to trust this company with making an expensive tractor when they couldn't even engineer a shitbox right
>>28683890You're Number 27 aren't you? Not the first time the last couple of months someone brings up a really obscure car he just so happens to release a review on a day or two later on.
Restoring a urraco at the moment. The wheels are fuckin sick.
>>28684691>beautiful carsAgreed, without the spoiler too.
>>28684691>>2868667771 model is even better looking>no side intake>blades instead of a giant box intake
