Its starting to freak me out seeing these things driving in my city, seemingly nobody talks about it despite them being a branch of Google and them being cheaper than regular ubers & taxis while having those weird laser tech thingies that other self driving cars like Tesla don't have. They do nearly a million rides per week in my california alone, has the future finally arrived?

Because they're flyoverlets and these gaymos are only in, what, SF and New Delhi, California?

Miami-Dade has also started experimenting with autonomous cars.

People freaking out about self driving cars today are the same as people as their grandparents freaking out about hybrid and electric cars from over a decade ago.

Maybe they were right to freak out.

There are roughly 1M Teslas on the road that have self driving and have been doing so everday. You just dont notice it because they dont have extra over the top lasers. They have passive cameras

There's 3 million as of 2024. At 15000 miles a year that's 45 billion miles per year. But Tesla only claims 6 billion FSD miles total and half of those are from the last 12 months. So only like 1% of Teslas are using fsd at any moment, maybe less.

Why would /o/ talk about self driving taxis? People who like cars aren't going to talk about shit like that. Does /ck/ talk about frozen cheeseburgers you buy at dollar general?
>>
>>28689468
I'm talking purely FSD users. Not Tesla owners in general.
>>
>>28689479
an fsd user isn't using fsd if they're not using fsd tho
