I ended up buying a Jetta instead of a Corolla or Camry because the dealer was mean to me how bad did I fuck up?

Toyota is overpriced for what they are now.
VW is also overpriced for what they are.
You came out about even, for the first 3 years at least. After that, all bets are off with VW.
>>
The shetta will require thousands of dollars in repairs to keep running, the toyotas would run for another 20 years with zero maintenance.
>>
>>28691866
You know that is not true.
>>

My jetta gets 700 miles to a tank and its neglected, rusty and 23 years old
>>
>>28691857
If the dealer is a cunt before you get locked in to the purchase, imagine how much worse they'll be after they have your money
>>

>>28691869
Assuming OP is retarded (he is) and he bought new.
>>
>>28691878
If its new car slop he fucked up either way. I dont buy anything I cant fix because im not paying dealers to scam me and in turn scam their stupid techs getting 10% of the labor rate.
>>
>>28691883
Obviously, but if OP is a wrenchlet and too scared/poor to buy private seller, he was never gonna make it anyway. The fact he even considered modern VW is a dead giveaway too.
>>
>>28691883
What on a VAG can you not fix yourself?
>>
>>28691866
Good thing he bought it from a dealer with a warranty.

Junk yards are filled with VWs you can get any part you need for the rest of your life
>>
>>28691857
For all intents and purposes they may as well be the same car, I wouldn't worry about it
>>
Jetta will get you more pussy. Good luck.

Will it get me a hot Jeeta?

Should've bought a Honda.
>>
If diesel then it is good, if not then it is shit. If GLI then it is a good car
>>
>>28691857
Jetta’s probably going to be more fun if they didn’t screw up the German handling for whatever year you bought.

German cars can be fixed just as well as any other car, they're just more sensitive to following the instructions properly. Most people learn how to do that in school, you may have been too busy munching on glue and crayons.

No, it's far from |bad|. 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. 126MPH top speed. Stiff chassis. Decent suspension. Decent interior. Great gas mileage.

Are there cars that are more performant/enthusiast-focused? Yes. Is it |bad|? No. The list of cars in history that are colossal piles of shit next to a Jetta is a very, very, very, very, very, very long one.

In luxury/comfort it's well above the level of an economy penalty box, and its handling is sprightly enough, so it's not a bad place to be in. It's no 911 for driver engagement, but it's still German.

>>28691857
You're brown aren't you? That's the only people I see driving Jettas.
>>
>>28694109
anon four and a half seconds to sixty is faster than 90+% of the traffic on the road in 2025 too
>>
>>28691857
New? Not bad at all. Salesmen at Toyota dealerships are either autistic with no social skills or douchebags and they get away with it because the brand loyalty is so strong. Also toyota offers shit financing specials.

If you bought used you probably got hosed by interest rates either way.
>>
>>28694119
In the current year I'd rather risk a turbo exploding than a traction battery.
>>
>>28693906
Im not buying the slop bro, sorry.
Ill stick to buying buying a low mileage old cars where a headlight going out costs me $10.
