The Benchmark™, the A110, is conquering the (1st) world!
How long until other car manufacturers follow suit and produce cars that ain’t no pigfat monstrosities?
>>
>>28692656
I know nothing about this car, never even heard of it but I know for a fact that it's unreliable, expensive parts and needlessly difficult to repair.

The only two logical options for light fun are miata and corvette.
>>
>>28692670
>corvette
>light
also, the a110 is not unreliable at all
>>
>>28692674
again, i know nothing about you or the car but i'd bet my life that it's less reliable that a c5.
c5 has a better power to weight ratio to, b t w .
>>
>>28692677
ah yes, the C5. I enjoyed mine 25 years ago
>>
>The C8 has faced significant reliability challenges. Consumer Reports gave the 2022 model a score of just 13 out of 100, placing it among the 10 least reliable cars. Common issues include engine failures, transmission problems (including DCT casting porosity and fluid leaks), drive system concerns, and paint/trim defects. Multiple recalls have been issued for various components. While some owners report trouble-free ownership, a notable percentage experience serious problems, including catastrophic engine failures under 2,000 miles.
grim
>>
>not available in the USA
>>
dude malding so hard that he won't even reply to me and just spams some tldr that a warranty will take care of lmao

>>28692679
nice it's probably still on the road, you should buy it back instead of the pos that op posted.
>>
>>28692681
>including DCT casting porosity
HEY SKEETER IS THIS TRANNY SUPPOSED TO BE ALL BUBBLY????
IT DON'T MATTER CLETUS HUH HUH "SEND IT" YEEEHAW
>>
>>28692656
Make sense that an auto-only car would be the standard for Europe.
>>
>>28692725
You could just as easily use the C8 to paint the US the same way. Reality is that the DCT loses less boost pressure between shifts.
>>
America’s benchmark for enthusiast cars is the Camaro, which does come in manual and is why racing driver Randy Pobst bought one. No one is saying the C8 is a benchmark for anything other than raw performance (which the frog car doesn’t even have). Only Europeans lose their shit over an automatic as being the pinnacle of driving pleasure while coping and saying the auto is better for performance ( in a car that is lacking in it).

It’s so weird.
>>
>>28692739
>America’s benchmark for enthusiast cars is the Camaro
Which is why they stopped making them almost two years ago.
>>
>>28692966
Two years isn’t a long time. Which is exactly why we haven’t seen anything better out of Europe still for drivers cars.
>>

>>
crazy how the only kino cars are not being sold in America.
>a110
>gr yaris
>swift sport
>>
>>28693235
It’s crazy that an automatic, a car that denies warranty for engine failure, and front wheel drive is considered kino in Europe.
>>
>>28693369
I don’t expect mutts to understand the concept of finesse.
Also, name one manufacturer that warrants tuned engines
>>
>>28693217
Based, that smart fucker.
>>
>>28693389
They deny warranty on stock ones, too.
>dressing up your automatic and fwd as “finesse”
Lmao.
>>
>>28693397
Maybe on your garbage GR Corolla in muttland.
The Benchmark™ uses the best transmission for the job. It’s not the 90s anymore. Hence why no GT race cars come with a stick to fondle
>>
>>28692656
>not available in the largest car market in the world
So meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
>>
>>28693399
They use the same engine and are built at the same factory, retard. They’re both garbage. No wonder you tards defend auto-only “””sports””” cars that don’t even race in gt.
>>
>>28693369
Europeons think soccer is a contact sport.
>>
>>28692725
pretty ironic how in europe normal cars are manual and sports cars are auto, whereas in america it's the opposite.
as a poorfag i guess i'm glad i'm in europe, but if i had money i'd be miffed that the cool sports cars are all auto. (well not all thankfully)
>>
>>28693419
i contact the ground and whine for the referee, innit.
>>
>>28692656
The only reason influencer fags are saying this car is good is because Americans can't have it. Go watch/read reviews of it by Europeans when it was new, everyone said it was just "ok".
>>
>>28693419
The fuck is soccer.
>>
>>28693417
the GR Yaris is not auto only and is used in rally (and is the undisputed champ).
The Benchmark and the Swift Sport are both used in racing too.
>>
>>28693446
that’s because manual is to make slow cars *feel* faster and more engaging.
proper fast cars don’t need that shit.
>>
>>28693487
I believe it stems from sucking. mutts can’t help but think about sucking big black and white balls

>>

The frog car isn’t properly fast. It’s just automatic to accommodate Europeans.
>>
>>28693560
maybe not in a straight line but I highly doubt many cars can keep up with it on a technical track or road
>>
>>28693516

They do, quite easily.
>this car is automatic-only because it was meant to go around “technical” tracks (whatever that means), despite automatics not having anything to do with cornering ability and only improving straight-line acceleration (they also add weight)
The absolute state of Europe.

It's auto only because with a manual won't fit with double wishbones, if you want manual you have to redesign it to get rid of the double wishbones.
>>
>>28693618

>>
>>28693640
If you’re not poor, get a real sports car. Instead of a cope mobile that is neither good at going fast or being an enthusiast car.
>>
>>28692656
dude just bring the RS back, i can't get into this whole alpeen thing
>>
>>28693641
actually it’s likely even faster since I wouldn’t run garbage stock tires.
alpine doesn’t have fancy pro factory drivers doing marketing lap times. these lap times are done with bone stock models by some chuds on ps4 tires
>>
>>28693634
European “””engineering””” at its finest.
>>
>>28693647
The same can be said for the Camaro ss, yet, when driven by the same journalist with no secret sauce tires, it’s faster.
>>
>>28693644
??? I’m getting something that’s more unique than a mclaren, lambo, Ferrari or 911 that’s significantly more reliable and just as fast on track for less money.
And the best part: cornering actually feels amazing because the car is not an obese piece of shit

>>
>>28693671
You’ll be rebuilding the engine a lot like that guy did his Porsche? Sounds about right for a French car.
>>
>>28693675
of course. it’s the only car made past 2010 that’s worthy of keeping and rebuilding if necessary
>>
>>28693675
Would you rather buy an EV for 100k in the future or rebuild your beloved ICE car’s engine for 5-10k bucks every 20 years?

I’d rather spend $20k on my preferred ICE of choice every 10 years than buying EV slop.
What else is there to buy anyway?

>>
>>28693446
it's because Europe never progressed beyond the 1960s mindset of 'automatic = luxury'. That's why they look at you like an alien when you show them a manual Porsche.
>>
>>28692656
>I'm french
But fuck those downsized smal engine

>Ligh full aluminium / carbon
OK but still
Give us some proper naturally aspirated engine

Like the flat 6 no turbo 4L 500hp from Porsche
>>
>>28693507
mutts law is pure projection
>>
>>28692656
kek so the most powerful version of the A110 starts at like 100k and gets gapped by a zoomer in a tuned 15k bmw? sure, not a car for benchmark racers, why not just get a miata for much cheaper? this is just retarded
>>
>>28693235
Crash safety regulations. When your cars have to accomodate retarded mutts texting and driving, all your cars have to become tanks.

We are never getting the fantastic price for performance, aftermarket abundant, enthusiast machines of the 80's and 90's and early 00's ever again, just let it go.
>>
>>28694521
It has nothing to do with US safety standards, ours in the EU are stronger. It's probably due to your federalization requirements requiring a significant investment.
>>
>>28692656
Don't know why this car is being shilled so hard lately. It's not very good.
>>

Le quirky fanboys and bots come out of the woodwork for all kinds of dumb shit here.

I'm sure its quite a fun car but I cant even imagine the misery involved with trying to maintain a fuckin French car over time. Nevermind a limited production french car.
>>
>>28694646
It's not that bad in Europe where the dealer network exists
>>
>>28694598
The M2 and Nissan Z threads are down the hall to the left
>>
>>28694646
it's mechanically more Nissan (except with a transmission that doesn't commit sudoku constantly)
>>
>>28694698
Since we dont even have them here I havent followed too closely but this sounds a bit like the Lotus boys when they say "yeah it's basically a toyota so easy to get parts".
Which are both partially true of course but you wont be going to the nissan counter and getting much parts support unless you've already cross-referenced and verified parts and fit, etc.
Sure it's different looking and pretty decent performance even I dont love the look of the new one but I'm just thinking what a pain in the ass it'll be when something in the car files a grievance and inevitably goes on strike.
y'all enjoy, she's all yours.
