I swear to god I do not feel safe driving ANYWHERE else than the highway at night, it is legit the only safe place because everybody drives the same speed and in the same direction. Once im outside of there I legit can't see jack fucking shit on the road, im relying on the gps to see where the road goes and whats coming up. I see everything fine when im on the bike because the speed is so much slower and I can take it easy but holy crap do people not give a shit about their lives? How are they flying through corners at 50 km/h??? I can't force myself to drive faster than 30 km/h at night.

It's because European roads weren't initially designed with cars in mind, and European countries and too poor to afford adequate street lighting. In the USA this isn't a problem.

I live in the country side-ish part of the country so its a complete void for like 50% of the road with a couple of poorly lit up street lights where people live.

kek that's not really the case anymore as data centers are raping electricity costs

This person has never left their major metropolitan area.
aka cityfag

Blue eyes, night owl. I can see better at night.
In the daytime I have the visors down, sunglasses on, and I still squint like a mofo.
>>
Turn your damn headlights on
>>

Those blue bulbs they put in also go tits up real fast. Leaving many streets with no light at all

Don't even begin to talk about backroads and rural America, those mfs get the dicking down by papa night more than anyone. There's a reason the hicks have more light bars than Tron on their trucks
>>
i'll only speed in my bmw during the day since the deer start coming out around sunset so around then i'll switch to my pickup truck to continue speeding.

About 70% of my miles are driven at night or dusk. You get used to it.

you probably need glasses and better headlights op.

Do they not have headlights in your third world shithole? Let me guess... You're probably one of those people who always bitch about bright headlights. Well maybe give them a try.

Headlights are not all made the same and some are shit. The headlights in my sister's 2007 Jetta were literally unsafe until I put 80W bulbs in it. The aftermarket HID bulbs in my Z3 Coupe were so bad that I couldn't even tell they were aimed wrong since the aim point hot spots had so little additional light compared to the overall cast that they couldn't be made out. The bulbs that were in it when I got it were very blue and very dim. Only after I put in 5000K white bulbs did I notice the fucking things were aimed over at the left guardrail.
With new bulbs and re-aiming, they're good now.

Make sure your headlights are aimed out towards the horizon. Euro lights have a hard horizontal cutoff and if they're aimed low you can't see down the road in front of you. (When I got it, the left light in my Z3 was aimed so far down it only lit up maybe 75 feet in front. Hilariously bad when it takes ~120 feet to stop from 60mph)

*pic is the new bulbs and properly aimed.
That pic was in the wet. Those HIDs really make the painted lines glow.

you can kinda see here just how blue the old bulbs were.

I'm sure people would rather be blinded by your headlights than have to look at that thing. Fuck that is one ugly vehicle.

It gets attention like nothing this side of a pristine classic or an exotic, though.

I respect what they were going for with the clownshoe, but man it just doesn't hit for me.

I mean, it was just a project done by the engineers on their own to put a roof on it to stiffen it up, since the roadster does suffer from cowl shake.
The roadster drives very nice once you install a strut brace, but the coupe is just better.
