>>28694265Niche sports car is unlikely to be daily driven. Shocking revelation.
>>28694265>why is a 2-seat convertible suited more to fun summer drives rather than sitting in traffic in a daily commute or making runs to the lumber yard not getting as many miles put on it as other cars?
>>28694265>>28694276He looks like a jeet version of Itsuki from Initial D
>>28694265It's a secondary car
>>28694321Miata wins the most secondary of all secondary cars, quite the plot twist from how they've been treated in the past
>>28694265Miata is a weekend car. This isn't surprising.
>its got the best driving feelok but how do you know lmfao
It's the best possible choice for a commuter daily that still has a touch of sportiness. Barebones 4 cylinder, low insurance costs, tiny wheels with small brakes and tires.Basically your operating costs are as low as they'll get without getting a prius.People are too soft.
>>28694265I put 5k miles on mine in 3 months
>>28694265There's more used Mazdas on the market than new ones, their quality took a nosedive and nobody wants to keep them so end up selling within 10-20k miles. I bought one at 20k miles and was desperate to sell it by 30k. It's a piece of crap, it's like it was made by retards.>made in MexicoOh that explains why.
>>28694431>There's more used Mazdas on the market than new ones, their quality took a nosediveSorry but this seems contradictory. Is there some majorly wrong with new Mazdas? Used ones are staying on the road if not being sold on the marketplace
>>28694436>some majorlySomething*
>>28694431>made in mexico Wat, every Miata was built in their Hiroshima factory
>>28694390>It's the best possible choice for a commuter daily that still has a touch of sportinesstoyobarus exist.
>>28694390>It's the best possible choice for a commuter daily that still has a touch of sportiness.Except it's not a hatchback and it only has two seats. Anon hit the nail on the head >>28694343It's the secondest car of all time.
>>28694390Try fitting in more than 2 grocery bags.
>>28694265>2 seater convertibles are rarely used as daily driversWow what a revelation! This is top notch journalism right here, guys.
>>28694457Why bother when the MX5 does everything better
>>28694265Yeah, I mean if you guys actually went out and drove your cars or did road trips you would very quickly realize that Miata's are a rarity on the roads. It's not a comfortable car to drive, especially over long distances. It has practically no cargo space. It's noisy as fuck unless you get the hard top and even then it's not great. Also the cloth top is a liability over time. Honestly the convertible top is such a meme that's not even worth it. In winter it's way too cold, In summer you will roast under the sun, It sucks anytime it rains, and the noise is deafening even with everything they've done to dampen it.
>>28694265>tiny sports car that is usually a second or third vehicle>doesn't get a lot of pointless commuter miles put on itOf course a jeet wrote this brainlet ass faux intellectual article.
>>28694390Try having hobbies. Imagine driving an hour to get a vintage bike frame from an old boomer, only to realise that the only way it's fitting in the car is if you open the roof and stick it on the passenger seat. Couldn't be me, I have a FiST, it fits the entire bike.
>>28694694That's pretty based desu, you can pull the bike out of your FiST when it shits the bed and ride it back home like a true /n/igger
>>28694625The headrest speakers in NAs solved this. Drive with earplugs in and blast the headrest speakers. Just don't try to call anyone while driving, they won't hear you.
>>28695222>Drive with earplugs in and blast the headrest speakersDoesn't solve anything, and if anything, just makes you an even more dangerous and distracted driver on the road.
>>28694694I know guys who stack shit in their NA Miata with a open top.Y'all are just soft.
>>28694451He has a shitty cx30
>>28694390This. I daily'd a miata from 18-25yo. It's quite literally one of the cheapest cars to repair thanks to being the most popular and produced sports car on the planet & on the road in the US.>my most expensive required repair was the suspension all around>all parts were $1300~>took me fucking 6 hoursOnly bad things about miatas are rust. I didn't notice my rain rails were clogged and during a storm the inside of my car got flooded. When I plunged the rails on both sides (on the inside of the top but under the carpet) I pushed black sludge out and upon further inspection has caused rust behind the rocker panel in the wheel well on the passenger side. Not looking forward to learning how to weld for this lol>>28694694I have, on multiple occasions, loaded my nb with 10-15 pieces of 2x4x10, put a red flag tied on it, and driven home. One of the miatas I used to see at cars and coffee back in 2017 had a reinforced frame, super thick shocks, and some small block v8 and the guy would tow a small airstream with it. You can make a miata do fucking almost anything for cheaper than almost any other car. >>28694566I have been able to fit a 15 gallon water jug, 4 loaded over the top paper grocery bags, 6 50lbs sandbags, 4 cynderblocks, and a full sized female german shepard in my miata and drove it for an hour like that. The area behind you in with the top up is very usable space. The trunk gives a lot a space for the overall size of the car and fits many medium/large sized object. For instance when I did autocross I could fit all 4 wheels in my passenger seat area with the seat removed, and could fit the seat in the truck with a ratchet strap and have it 1/2 closedDid I mention it's literally the most fun car to drive? I have a 2003 Acura CL Type S 6-Speed, and that's very fun to whip 260hp around in a revvy engine and go fast, break the tires loose in first gear without trying, but my fuck doing all of that in a miata is just twice as fun.
>>28694625My nc3 prht on meister R coilovers and sound deadening is comfy and quiet with a 95db exhaust (tested). As long as you replace the barge sized steering wheel for a ~320mm with +40mm reach and lower the seat brackets 50mm its roomy as fuck and I'm 6ft1 100kg. I've owned faster cars and more expensive cars, but this is my favorite. It's time for it to be wintered now unfortunately, fucking English councils salt the roads until April...
>>28694265How the fuck are you gonna daily a Miata? It's a toy. A fun toy at that, but still just a toy.
>>28694288I daily drive my mustang what is the mx5 excuse?
>>28695885A Mustang has back seats and a trunk that fits more than a single carton of eggs.Muscle cars were literally designed to be sports cars you can daily btw.
>>28695882>>28695888Miata is a fine daily so long as you:1. Have a desk job2. Don't have kids3. Your parents are in good health and can drive themselves around4. You don't have winter or you bought an RFThere are not many people that can fulfill all four conditions at the same time, so it makes sense that everyone who gets a miata gets them as their second or third car.
