Why are sedans even a thing when wagons can do everything sedans can, plus:

I just dont get why sedans are normal why wagons are an exotic rarity. If you want sportiness you get a coupe, if you want utility you get a wagon. Sedans are just a pointless inbetween. Having owned a wagon Im never buying a sedans ever, I just dont see the point.

I weighed my E34 540i touring and it weighed just over 200lbs more than the closest spec sedan weight I could find on the forums. It was years ago but that was the result.

I think most of the extra weight is the glass and the sunroof. Unfortunately the higher models were never available without that shitty sunroof, mine did not work and leaked.

Ehh depends. If the wagon is $100k and 5000lbs then you might as well just go with an SUV at that point. Handling is irrelevant at that point and an SUV is infinitely more practical. Even something like a 3900lb Outback at $40k+ doesn't make much sense when you can get a large crossover a an entry level pickup at that point.
