Why do these cars generate so much seething? Big fuckoff pushrod V8s are based.
>>

Because they increase happiness, goodwill, and testosterone, which as we all know 4chan posters are deathly allergic to.

They're just really damn heavy for no reason.
If the new gen was the same car but 800-1000 lbs lighter then it'd be sick AF. Unfortunately they chose to go full retard instead so neither the previous or current gens are very desirable compared to the competition
>>

>>28695994
The Challenger is lighter than a 540i.
>>
>>28695992
Have I struck a nerve, or does bitching like a woman come to you naturally? Oh, what am I saying—of course it does.
>>
>>28695996
The hell are you talking about? Even the base V6 Challenger is heavier
>>
>>28696001
Wrong. Also, the 540i makes a mere 335 hp.

Challenger V6 makes 305 hp NA, 5.7L V8 makes 375 hp NA, 392 V8 makes 485 hp NA, Hellcat makes 717 hp.
>>
>>28695957
Unironically they are nightmares to drive.

The blindspots are so bad you have to basically always be going faster than everyone else.
>>
>>28696007
I have a charger and it has zero blind spots. Maybe the challenger is different but I can see everything in the charger.
>>
>>28696007
Nah it's fine. While the Challenger has a massive C pillar you just use your mirrors, blind spot warning, situational awareness and back up camera.
>>
>>28695996
I don't give a fuck about that leasebait muslim BULLSHIT

That didn't take long

In what world does the 540i make 335hp? Are you living in 2018?

>barely 400 wheel HP out of 5 or 6 liter engines
>not even reliable as they eat camshafts, blow out the headers and self destruct with cylinder deactivation
Congrats on putting out less power, torque, being less efficient, heavier, less smooth and somehow even less reliable than a modern turbo straight six like a B58/S58.
V8 rumble noises are cool, so I guess there’s at least a positive.
>>

>the 540i makes a mere 335 hp
When BMW claims their car makes 335hp it’s because it makes 330-340hp to the wheels.
When Dodge claims their barge makes “700 hp” in reality it’s maybe 560 hp to the wheels in a cold day.

People like this are very funny because you can tell that they don't own anything nice that's appreciated by other people. Having a cool car that people like and comment on is the same thing as dressing well and grooming yourself appropriately. You get more attention. You get more positive reactions. People compliment your taste, car, and sense of fashion regularly, encouraging you to improve yourself further. This in turn increases your confidence and willingness to live, learn, improve, and socialize with others (scary, I know).

Very sad to see so much loathing when people can just go out and buy better and more interesting things for themselves!

neither of those should be damaging to the engine

Yeah, they're fine as in merely okay. Better than getting a four banger econobox but not competitive in their respective segments

They’re fun though and that’s what’s important

>>
>>28696262
and like i said, there are plenty of rwd high displacement v8 engine cars that came out during the challenger and charger's runs and were more fun to cruise and drive hard in

wrong, lies and slander. Chrysler had a bad batch of lifters that affected an estimated 2.5-5% of all 3.6, 5.7 & 6.4 engines. If you get a bad one and replace the lifters then they are solid engines.
