The first carmaker to produce an actually new car that brings back real pushable physical buttons and real knobs for most common functions while retaining a screen JUST for looking at the map will be hailed as visionary. Any manufacturer willing to invest in real buttons for a new design car will see their sales increase.

>>28701231My 2021 mazda cx-5 has a good ammount of buttons and knobs. Screen is for maps and music but there is a volume knob and media button.
>>28701295you literally can't even use it as a touchscreen though, it's recessed, which is retarded, and the interior hasn't been updated - at all, in nearly a decademazda is on life supportalso I tried to stress NEW DESIGN, multiple times, I get that older cars still have buttons
>>28701300>mazda is on life supportThat has been the case since 1931
>>28701231The Genesis G70 is pretty close to this
>>28701300>while retaining a screen JUST for looking at the mapA new off the lot Mazda interior completely passes your OP requirements every post afterwards is no true scotsman nonsense
>>28701391mazda you mean the people who disable power seat adjustment while the car is in drive?also i've heard the ADAS is horrible
>>28701394Every time you post your specific requirements for a vehicle interior you are told Mazda by multiple different anons then start flailing like this.
The 2026 Outback is bringing back physical buttons for climate control and a few other things that were previously touchscreen only.
>>28701300>mount screen accessably>"muh glued on chink ipad">recess screen to fit into dash better>"bro you can't use it it's retarded"there's no pleasing you people
>>28701396cuz mazda has plenty of issues of its own >>28701417there should be buttons for everythingand full qwerty keyboards for nav typing
>>28701231>turn ignition on>valve intro.mp3
>>28701300I find the screen placement is ideal and im used to not touching the screen since my previous didnt have one. I can next track and volume adjust from the steering wheel and there is a nice big volume knob. The joystick screen navigator is fine for what you would do while driving. If i need to find a location or change my playlist i do this on the phone.
>>28701439What issues? The cx-5 is one of the better small suvs, i dont really know about the other models.
>>28701602my steering wheel allows me to mute or up or down the volume, or change track back and forth, but i cant hold down the change track button and get it to fast forward through a song which is really annoying
>>28701300You can when using AA/carplay though
>>28701611its still not button sloppy enough, and its like a 10 year old design, they have not made an actual new car with a usable good screen + enough buttons for everythingthe new mazda suv has issues with transmission and ride
>>28701268>EVSo close yet so far.
>>28701396Nta but Mazda is shit.>windshields so thin that rain sounds like gravel bouncing off the glass.>sound deadening completely non-existent to the point that road noise at 25 mph sounds like a camry or accord or even a fucking f150 doing 85 mph.>transmission components sourced from alibaba
>>28701231Companies are already doing this because the EU’s equivalent to NHTSA won’t give 5 star safety ratings to cars unless certain controls are physical.
>>28701268>IHI ScoutHow dare you.The brilliant engineers that built that company are dead, and your picrel is an insult to their names. My picrel honors them.
>>28702078>because the EU’s equivalent to NHTSA won’t give 5 star safety ratings to cars unless certain controls are physical.Meanwhile, they entertain "fully-autonomous" vehicles and EV air taxis, where the "logic" and control is BLACK BOX stuff.Schizophrenic policy
>>28701741None of these things are true but if the sound of rain on the windshield is too much for you, you have some kind of mental issue.
