the bronco sport is ugly. Ford should have just made a short wheelbase 3 door bronco based on the F150 aesthetic

They did, minus the F-150 stuff.
The Bronco Sport is not that, however. It's for middle aged moms that want a crossover but also want it to look kinda boxy.
