Double clutching is something you only do when downshifting in a car without synchros. say you wanted to go from 3rd to 2nd, you would clutch in, shift to neutral, clutch out, blip the throttle, clutch in, shift to 2nd, clutch out. It was a line written by someone with zero knowledge but just googled car terms. Something evident by just watching the movie.
