you forgot to learn how to drive car before buying the car
>>

One redline won't kill it but also lol you're a moron.
>>
They red lined it at the factory
>>
>>28702494
i redlined ya mum

This

Depends on the car. Some higher end brands do an RPM check when you come in for a service and if you didn't follow the break in period they will void your warranty.
>>
>>28702494
How do you manage to redline it while driving off the lot?
Also >>28702753 sustained redlining is what does damage which is why they tell you to stay off interstates.
>>
>>28703399
Who tells you to stay off interstates?
>>
>>28702494
You fucked up, it's basically ruined.
>>
>>28703404
Everyone? Redlining and steady rpm during break in is what causes premature wear.
>>
>>28703412
What do either of those have to do with interstate driving?
>>
>>28702494
Is it a c8 corvette or a gtr or some super high output engine supercar? No, then it doesn't matter. The kid who did the 'inspection' on your car already redlined it while cold and jacked off inside it, he also put grease stains all over the leather and took it for a joy ride. I wish all dealerships would catch fire.
>>
>>28702494
You're not allowed to exceed a maximum RPM during the break-in period (usually 3,000) and the ECU records all data. Your engine is probably fine, but your warranty is definitely void.
>>
>>28703432
idk what kind of lunatic driving skills you have but interstate driving is almost always at a steady rpm on cruise for most people which is not good during the break in for seating the rings
>>
i get the distinct impression that none of the people in this thread have ever built an engine in their lives.
>>
>>28703604
this is true, I have not built an engine. Care to elaborate?
>>
>>28702753
>t. works at Detroit assembly
>>
>>28703412
>Everyone?
No, anon. No one says that. You can use the interstate without redlining.

I'm a porter. I drive your new car down the parking garage to the lot on the rev limiter. You didn't hurt it. I did.
