Tell me, anons: is the 22 LCI2 JCW a decent car?
In the shithole of a country I live in there's very few somewhat-fun modern dailies I could get.
i just want a somewhat fun modern car (2020+, thanks insurers) with carplay that wont bankrupt me. i currently drive a complete souless hybrid cuckover that gives me a fucktillion unenjoyable kms per liter.
for ref 22 jcw is 38k usd here ("equivalent" to ~16-20k in the US car market). it's at the top of what i'd be willing to spend. i used to have a 11 wrx with 320whp that i sold for 25k, and i miss it dearly, even if it wasn't even remotely close to being dailyable.

sure anon, you'll have a great time

Just because it’s owned by BMW doesn’t mean British hands had no involvement in its engineering… Do you also think Rolls Royce is fully german?

if you're going to make a mistake, at least make a fun mistake

nta but i legitimately thought the F56 onwards minis were legitimately just BMW 1 Series with a ~le quirky~ reskin on top.

That's because you're a wrenchlet lmao

My job literally requires me to go to places I've never been to constantly. I'm not (((gluing my phone to the dashboard))), absolute pajeetmaxxed behavior.

i simply do not follow saudi brands
>>
>>28725801
They are but Br*tish hands are still involved in making it a Mini and not just a 1 series. Hence my earlier comment. Even the Germans through their autism are incapable of giving the Mini the reputation that it has.
>>
>>28725818
I'm just saying you're a wrenchlet because you base your car purchases on tranny tier bullshit. No mention of an engine, transmission or drivetrain layout you prefer you just want fucking phone connectivity lmao. Here's what's gonna happen, you're going to pay top dollar for a rental that only comes in automatic and the whole engine will be made of plastic.
>>
>>28725823
I don't either but you can just look at it and tell they aren't reskins of each other, if you ever turned a wrench you'd be able to see it but obviously that's asking a lot from a nu-male.

Yeah, ignore the fact that I literally said I want a fun car because I previously owned and modified a WRX and miss that experience.
God forbid I want a fun car that isn't 5k a year to insure and has a fucking screen for map directions, right?
Engine and drivetrain are secondary because in this car-hating shithole options are limited and usually prohibitively expensive. It's simply not feasible to make a car choice with those as your main parameters, not everyone is as lucky as you.
picrel: a clapped 2018 m2 is 120k. an old 718 will cost you 200k. and most interesting, fun, fast cars are simply not even available.
i'm working within my (many) constraints, nigger.
>>
>>28725826
i swear to god, NTA but niggas on this board genuinely want to call you a wrenchlet at any given opportunity for unrelated bullshit. if the retard wants carplay let him have it.

fuck off you unhelpful faggot

OP, if its leased, do it honestly as long as you're the type that enjoys the Mini style of driving. If its not leased... I would humbly recommend you to look elsewhere. This is not a long-term ownership car.

Leasing isn't a thing here. I'd buy it aiming to own for 1-2 years.
Is it just really unreliable? With a platform this "mature" that's legitimately surprising
>>
>>28725892
You'll make it for 2 years. I believe the warranty stretches that much, at least I would hope so lol. You might have some problems during the ownership period but these aren't as bad as Land Rovers. Electrical gremlins here or there. Ironically its the BMW engine that will probably have the least problems here. B modular series from BMW does a great job of not falling apart during the warranty period. After though...
>>
>>28725895
>I believe the warranty stretches that much
2022, anon. A brand new one costs 60k+, fuck that
>>
>>28725901
I should've remembered better. Er... You will certainly be taking a risk here. If it doesn't have any problems currently, you might be okay for a bit. Minis have cooling issues in addition to the electrical problems. General BMW problems. It's still new enough that I doubt in a year or two you'll have anything catastrophic happen to it, but its going to fully depend on how well the owner before you maintained it. You're a euro though, so atleast you lot tend to maintain your cars better than us across the pond. Ask for service receipts and work done.
>>
>>28725903
Thanks anon, I'll give it some thought.
I've already taken a look at it and driven it, car's still pretty new (33k kilometers on the clock) and fully stock, service history at the Mini dealership and all.
It's still a very expensive car for not a whole ton of performance, so I might end up not going for it. Problem is that we simply don't have many choices.
>euro
I wish
>>
>>28725913
33k is very low, and if it’s been serviced at a dealership, then I wouldn’t be too worried about this car. Usually by around 75-100K is when i’d be worrried, assuming you’re talking in km. My friend had a Mini JCW that caused him no end in problems but it was older and had 5x the kilometers

>>28725875
>Spoon feed me !!!1!1!!!
nta but just buy a civic or sum idk
>>
>>28725768
its a nice car, but they dont handle as good as r56. probably better as a dd overall though
