good luck circling the planet on that piece of shit.

Literally everyone puts a bigger tank and decent seat on it you imbecile, it’s actually hard to find them on the used market without a bigger tank.

>110 kph top speed

Now you are just making shit up. Also speeding in a foreign country is a fast way to get raped by the local corrupt cops.
>>
>>28739232
>Literally everyone puts a bigger tank and decent seat
meaning it's imperfect out of the factory unlike the BMW

Ok so you’re just coping, typical bmw faggot

I have a 1990 Kawasaki ZX-1100-C1 which (when originally tested) seemed to post a record 176mph...which made her the quickest/fasted production motorcycle one could buy, for 5 yrs running...until the Honda CBR-1100-RR 'Blackbird' hit the open-market.

I drive my Kawasaki at 65mph everywhere I go.

Why drive so 'slow' compared to everyone else ? No...NOT to '**** everyone off'...but simply because I have NO NEED to drive any faster.

It was (and continues to be) the absolute BEST possible bargain I could get, for the money I had in my pocket at the time. Also ? because at 65mph my Kawi returns no less than 85mpg, which is a hell of a bargain, considering it only takes @ $4.00 to top-off the tank.

And no, it's NOT 'only' designed to 'go fast'; that is simply what YOUR immature-brain is able to come up with, because ALL you know how to do (out on the open-road) is 'go fast'.

"There is more to life, than increasing it's speed." - Ghandi

One way or another, you'll figure it out someday.

Why do any of YOU 'need' to drive faster ?

Seriously....WHY ?

OHhhhhh....I SEE...it's because you've got 'places to go, things to do, 'peeps' to see, etc, etc...

Mmmkay.

My advice ? don't whine and complain about the higher gas-prices next year then, when they end up over $5.00 gallon...because it's heavy-footed, hyper-tensive MORONS like YOU people who drive like fricken' MORONS, who are pushing the fuel-producers to the limits of what they can handle.

Bottom line: ya got NO reason to be driving 90mph everywhere you go. There's just NO justifiable reason. Period.

The only reason you do it, is because you WANT to.

Trust me...thing$ are about to change, and in a BIG way. Might wanna consider 'adjusting your habits'.

Just sayin'...

God Bless, and be careful out there...the 'silly-season' (Thanksgiving/X-mas/New Years) is almost upon us.

If I was going on a RTW ride I’d take a simple, air cooled thumper like a DR650. Good luck getting spare parts for a BMW when you drop your bike and fuck up the radiator in some shithole in Africa.
>>
>>28741271
There is no radiator in the BMW R100GS, it's air cooled.

How am I supposed to square avoiding a water cooled engine given the 1200gs, Africa Twin, fuck even the 650 vstrom has one?

For me, this "quality" of parts may be acceptable in a cheap Chinese scooter, but not in an expensive KTM

But in 2025 even Mercedes, BMW, and Audi can be unreliable and made of cheap plastic.
>>
>>28744042
simple, you buy a used oil-cooled motorcycle and keep using it forever.
>>
>>28744405
I think you're missing the point. An air cooled motor will be more reliable than a water cooled engine, but at a certain point, more isn't any better in any use case you will leverage (because you don't neglect your tools like a cunt). So you're leaving performance on the table for what? Not having to replace water pump seals and carrying an extra water line next to your extra fuel line in your tool roll?

As long as you can't use that performance I guess the math works out.

I only ever see Boomers riding BMWs. I'm not saying that's a bad thing because these guys have probably been riding for decades and know which bike is best for their needs, and given that I'm approaching my boomer years I think I'll probably be on an adventure bike soon but for now I'm a city suburban dweller so a maxi scooter suits my needs best for now.

Doesn't matter what you ride. Just ride bro.

On a slightly related note, why is the dr650 cnsidered the default JP motorcycle for a reliable big bore dirt bike, while the Honda xr650l is relatively obscure despite having a similar reputation for liability and better suspension from the factory?
>>
>>28739217
It's a crime thsg BMW ceased producing bikes with this engine. We should burn down Dresden.
>>
>>28747646
I think the KLR650 is actually generally considered the default, with the DR650 being the runner up.

The XR650L is a nearly perfect dual-sport, but it's extremely fucking tall so it filters manlets. Never ever selling mine.

If they gave it a slightly bigger steel fuel tank, factory cush hub, and a short king option that dropped the seat height 2-3 inches it would be more popular.
>>
>>28745249
Bajaj really played KTM.
They were the ones building the shit quality bikes that caused KTM to go under. Then they bought the brand for cheap.
>>
>>28747885
Not really. Bajaj only made 390cc and lower. The issues were with 790 and 890, both of which were made by CFMoto.
>>
I hope Bajaj drops CFMoto.
