What am I in for?
Expensive, zippy go-kart. Will be fun. Will be cramped and kinda gay because it's tiny.
Subpar reliability. Loss of warranty for any reason.

>>28740563>way overblownToyotas very own warranty booklet uses overly broad and vague wording for usage of the car in relation to maintaining warranty. With all the ecu event flagging they do, they most definitely can void your warranty for any reason. No lawyers will fight magnuson-moss act claims without a huge class action so they make a lot of money.
>>28741363>With all the ecu event flagging they doSubaru, VW, BMW, Honda all actually do the same thing though. Its just that the ECUs got smart enough where its indisputable.

>>28740334It's a rowdy zippy little thing with driver engagement and mechanical feedback. But provided you take good care of all the fluid changing intervals, letting the thing get up to temps properly before going WOT. Unfortunately it's the only car in the competition that is NOT underrating its power so you are not getting 300whp when the FL5 and Mk8 are making way above that, GR Corolla 6MT is at about 270whp, and even less for the 8AT but we don't talk about that one.

An uncomfortable expensive corolla you can't push without getting a ticket, and if you use it on a track where you won't get a ticket it'll catch on fire and toyota will deny your warranty for track use

It's just a corolla with a badge that makes it an expensive corolla. The car itself is a slow piece of shit that gets walked by everything, including mommy SUVs and Vans.>it's like a GO-KART DUDENo, it's not. It's ACTUALLY like a 3,300 pound car with a fucking inline3 (with a turbo that's handling 100/300hp, to make it really shitty) that produces a stunningly shit 5.5s 0-60.I'd rather have a naturally aspirated v6 camry, because at least if I hoon that slow car, it won't blow the fuck up.
>>28740334Popped engine with a rejected warranty claim, overheated center diff, shit interior, but it's still better than having to live with the wrx
>>28740334Its more expensive than it should, sound system and road noise sucks, and its not going to compete with financed german cars but its going to be FUN.Its going to be FUN.Youre going to love it and youre not going to care about the short comings.I wish more enthusiasts would stop being such fags.Fun cars never make sense on paper but people who own them end up not caring.

>>28747126/O/ is a 99% bus riding faggits who have never owned a car that does 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds. This Carolla GR is cool, its just a bad value. It moves 0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds btw as per Car and Driver which is pretty fucking fast. Its also AWD and manual transmission. If all you care about is fun, this car will do it.If you care about comfy daily driving features this car falls short. Also when you tell people you drive a Corolla, lmao. Its like those retards who owned Tarus SHOs lol, neat car but you have to clarify its not a Taurus.
>>28747229What's considered a good value in this segment these days? Honest question.I imagine something like a Civic SI, a GTI, or an Elantra N as far as new production?
>>28740334Lots of fun an a pretty unique sound, you can even hear the turbo blowoff a bit if your ears arent fucked. Rented a GR Yaris and a Corolla to drive around mnt Fuji with and both were very fun cars. However the Corolla is a bit of a boat compared to the Yaris. Both engines were overkill for mountain roads, and I thought that the GR86 and the S2000 were more fun on those.Given that the GR Yaris isn't available in the USA this is the next best thing. Also Toyota will do away with the i3 turbo in these because non car buying bench racers wanted even more hp so it will get a generic i4 turbo for next gen making it less unique and probably even more expensive.>>28741193>>28741950Based GR Yaris owner. The VW Golf R and GTI are hot hatches for people who don't want the hot part. Also it's a VW so it will be "reliable" as one, ala have small to medium issues here and there after 3 years of ownership.
>>28747419Elantra is the last value oriented model in the hot compact affordable car segment. GTI is close but slower, civic si gets gaped by both. Only issue is that you have to be around Hyundai dealers to get one new
