Toyotas very own warranty booklet uses overly broad and vague wording for usage of the car in relation to maintaining warranty. With all the ecu event flagging they do, they most definitely can void your warranty for any reason. No lawyers will fight magnuson-moss act claims without a huge class action so they make a lot of money.

But provided you take good care of all the fluid changing intervals, letting the thing get up to temps properly before going WOT. Unfortunately it's the only car in the competition that is NOT underrating its power so you are not getting 300whp when the FL5 and Mk8 are making way above that, GR Corolla 6MT is at about 270whp, and even less for the 8AT but we don't talk about that one.

Lots of fun an a pretty unique sound, you can even hear the turbo blowoff a bit if your ears arent fucked. Rented a GR Yaris and a Corolla to drive around mnt Fuji with and both were very fun cars. However the Corolla is a bit of a boat compared to the Yaris. Both engines were overkill for mountain roads, and I thought that the GR86 and the S2000 were more fun on those.
Given that the GR Yaris isn't available in the USA this is the next best thing. Also Toyota will do away with the i3 turbo in these because non car buying bench racers wanted even more hp so it will get a generic i4 turbo for next gen making it less unique and probably even more expensive.
