I’ll start - I’ll answer anons questions about fixing cars but I’ve never actually wrenched before
>>
I take my car in for oil changes. I know I can do it myself so that is enough pride for me.
>>

I've concealed mechanical issues when selling cars on craigslist
>>
>>28740432
My E46 had a bad propshaft vibration, but I managed to hide it during the test drive and sold it without telling the buyer. I should probably feel bad, but he was Indian and low balled the fuck out of me, so in reality I feel pretty good about it.
>>

I sold a half blown up rx8 to a spic for $3k, told him there were no problems with it. it blew up a month later and he kept blowing up my phone and I blocked him. Found it on market place a few months later with a used engine dropped in it for $3k, and again a couple weeks later blown up for $2k.

I sharted cum in my Miata seat while I was pulling a lateral G around Lake Worth
>>
>>28740432
It's been almost a decade since I did more than a simple tune + catback exhaust on any of my cars.
>>
I brought down my mileage so I could sell my lil buddy for a fairer price.
>>
I backed into some car in a parking garage once but since my spare tire was what touched their car I couldn't see any scratches so I just left
>>
>>28740468
>sharted cum
Typical miata owner
>>
I noticed I was missing a valve stem cap on one of my tires so I just grabbed one off the car parked next to me as I left

most of my car opinions are based on video games. I have often claimed on /o/ and IRL that I test drove a car but it was actually just in Assetto.
I've never driven a RWD car IRL.
>>
i really want to go buy this one car but im too much of an autistic retard to talk to the seller
>>
I let my son drive. He’s 12. Public roads, during the day. It started off with him asking if he could drive and I thought “why not?”. Took the length of our driveway for him to figure it out (it’s an automatic). I got him to go to the end of the road and turn around and come back. We went over some basic bits about signalling and mirrors and what to do in X scenario but he’s pretty good at it and he’s a fast learner. Last Saturday he drove me to the supermarket but I made him park round the back so people didn’t see

I’m quite clever with it, though. I don’t let him drive back from things where there are other parents because they’re mostly a bunch of cowards and would ring the police. I’m fairly sure my wife knows but hasn’t confronted me about it, or she probably thinks she’s going mad

Absolutely disgusting subhuman behavior.
>>
I'm too much of a puss to do proper skids 80% of the time and just get a little wiggle instead.

I've sucked my own dick.

I saw an Escalade IQ drive by the other day and honestly thought it looked pretty good.
>9100 lbs
I also love trashy chubby and fat women. Forgive me.
>>
I bought an old jeep because they look cool but I don’t know how to do basic maintenance myself on it but I also don’t want to take it to a mechanic because they’ll see I don’t know anything and rip me off.
>>
I take my hands off the steering wheel to scratch my nuts at high speed.
>>
I don't even own a car.
>>
>>28740432
I keep looking for car offers despite having no money saved up and being in a tight spot financially... my car breaks all of the time though and I need something more reliable, I live too far from both places I work at.

I'm screwed. I'm thinking of getting a Twingo for being SOVL, but I need something that's cheap, and also reliable.

I have used assorted rubber, silicone, and garden hose pipe with barb fittings, PEX elbows, and worm gear clamps to remake molded vacuum lines as temporary fixes until I could buy the right ones. Some have now been on the car for 10+ years.

Confession #2 : my D21 battery was held in with a bungee cord. The tray, and mounting bracket is in the cab. The battery has now been held in with a bungee cord for almost 20 years, despite needing 3 battery replacements I have yet to use the actual tie downs.

Anon, be honest, are you black?
>>
My first wank was to my aunt.
>>
I ride my jazz on gravel roads and pretend to be a rally racer.
>>
>>28743788
There's nothing more permanent than a temporary fix.
>>
I bought my sports car as a symbol of personal accomplishment, i don't actually care about driving (obviously it's objectively fun to drive but i dont really care about it in general)
>>
Every time I replace my car, I get something with less power. I just never use it all.

you're a piece of shit but buyer was a retard for not doing enough homework on rotaries to tell it had issues.

My dad was like this. For the extra $30-$40 over buying the materials, you don’t have to deal with spilling oil or disposing of the used stuff. If you’re working tons of OT and wrenching on equipment at work, maybe you don’t want to get under the car in the snow at the end of the day.

Meanwhile I have trust issues and I don’t mind pulling a drain plug in my driveway to ensure it’s done right.

>>28740432
I once went like 30k+ miles and a few years without an oil change. I didn’t give a fuck. Finally did the oil change when my low oil pressure light came on during turns. Def took a toll on the piston rings and the car began to burn oil immediately after that.

Joke’s on the car gods though, I kept up with 5k mile oil changes ever since that day and ran the shitbox up to 225k miles with very little issues except soot on the rear bumper around the exhaust pipe.

same here. i pretty much learned manual through videos and video games up until i met a guy that actually let me do it irl in his scion tc. cant say the video games werent helpful though, i got the hang of it after 2-3 sessions.
>>
I gave up driving not long after I started because of vision problems from RP. I still love cars though. Feelsbadman.

I go to the dealer for oil changes and don't care about being a wrenchlet

Just take him to karting or sim racing. My oldest is 4 but that's what I'm going to do.
