Just totaled my 2007 honda accord, lost traction while going down the hill I live on and slammed into a telephone pole, which completely destroyed the front end and frame.Barely have 2,000 to my name and make pretty dogshit money as an apprentice (sub 20$/hr) what are some good cheap cars that I can find in a reasonable amount of time that wont completely shit out on me? It doesn't need to be pretty, just needs to run well for long enough for me to save for something nicer.Id reference the sticky but it hasn't been updated in half a decade.
>>28745794highly depends on whatever deals you can find in your areawhat region are you based out of? is your upper limit also $2k, and if not how much are you willing to spend? do you want another four-door sedan, or are you willing to explore other body types?
>>28745794Probably a 2007 Honda Accord
Any non riced honda or Mazda desu
>>28745801northeast USA, pennsylvania/ohio areato be honest I have no preference when it comes to driving other body types, I don't enjoy subcompacts due to the way they feel to drive but I'm not going to back out of a good deal because of it. my upper limit is probably something around 15k with a downpayment around 2k, my credit isn't bad so I can reasonably stretch my price range so long as It gets me to work and back without issue. Obviously if I had more time I would have saved up enough to buy something outright, but unforseen circumstances wiped out my savings before this as well, so I wasn't prepared.
>>28745794If you're desperate, gookmobiles are an ok choice but expect to wrench on them immediately. You could also look for early 2000s American (or badge engineered) shitboxes. Those tend to fly under the radar of most and are reliable enough (Geo Metro, Buick LeSabre, Pontiac G6, Ford Taurus, etc.). Start dicking around on ebay/FB or look for anything with a for sale sign on it.
