What car brands and makes can you tell that the engineers/designers built it to make it easy to repair in mind? What are some of the car brands/makes that are made as annoying as possible for someone to repair?

Nothing like that exists at the consumer level aside from maybe a lawn tractor or a golf cart. Modern vehicles are too complex and engineered for safety and fuel economy and shit to the point where they just can't be made easy to repair. Even shit like commercial semi trucks and heavy machinery is not exactly easy to work on and you still got engineers making your life a nightmare.

Pretty much anything German and Ford. Germans are pretty notorious for having engine out repairs for small things and Ford is just a bunch of fucking retards.

BMW and Audi obviously

To properly replace the battery, you need to connect a computer and first check the battery type (standard or AGM). Second, you need to check the battery's coded capacity. Third, when you install a new one, you need to tell the car that it has a new one and change the parameters so it knows how to charge it.

German "premium" car, ********

there's also some bmw and mercedes batteries where its under the seat and you have to pull everything out to get to it

Apparently the VW Phaeton had 2 batteries - one for the engine electronics and the second for the rest of the electronic systems

vw from 2002

That's actually pretty smart for battery longevity but overkill for most people. Most people don't even use the right oil type for their car.
>>
>>28746770
that's quite common in german vehicles i think

Outside of Caterham, such cars don't exist.

Did you know that a rearview camera is now mandatory on new cars sold in Europe?

Land Rover.
They didn't make it easy btw, but they just made them break down so much that YouTube content creators never run out of content.
Respect the hustle.

no

Doesn't exist for any car made past 2014

Any car designed for a V6 or V8 with an N/A i4 in it. Wether transverse or longitudinal, though I like longitudinal better because I have no qualms about pulling the radiator to give myself more space on the accessories and timing cover.

They all will still have their quirks like you might need to remove the whole intake and manifold to get to a starter or something similar on the exhaust side for something else. You will never get that old school clearance unless it is a true third world shitbox like a ZNA rich. But even that is based off of late 90's early 00's design. So it still has some quirks built in, until you get to the Chinese fuckery. Then you are stood there asking yourself "How?"

What is it with Germans and autistically making everything more difficult without fail?

F-150 is as easy as it gets these days.

kinda kia? it's not reliable but for example european kia ceed has alternator, oil filter and battery in easy to reach places. Other parts are also easier to reach (pic related)

it's like they predicted their cars would constantly fail so they made easy access

my pops ceed is failing clutch at 100k km
>>

Suzukis, looking under the bonnet of my Swift Sport everything is piss easy to access, and any work I have done has been pretty easy. And I've looked at a newer Jimny aswell and there's shitloads of room around the engine bay

Generally the cheaper Jap cars are easy to work on while new euro are nightmare mode
