Alright guys, I’ve modified my carb, my exhaust, my intake, etc. My bike backfires on deceleration, like non-stop. If I’m going downhill and I close the throttle, it sounds like a fucking AK47 burst unless I pull the clutch or keep a bit of throttle on. Is the idle jet too lean? It doesn’t do it when revving at a standstill, only when the bike is taking in air while riding.

Well bros today I acquired a straight piped 2001 Honda Shadow V-twin for free. 33k miles and it's got no compression on one cylinder. Never rode a motorbike before but I've worked on cars. Is it worth keeping? Do you guys have any youtubers or resources that show these engines being broken down or someone specifically dealing with this issue? From my limited research, straight piping these bikes fucks up the fuel/air ratio and the previous owner didn't know shit about it, so it probably burned an exhaust valve. Eager to know you guys' opinions on this unit and whether I should offload it or get it running.
