Breddy good, especially if you can find a manual one.

>>28754852
Then you'd have one cuck-mobile and one Honda. I'd rather just have the Honda desu

If they weren't of such questionable quality I'd rather a Genesis over an Accord simply because of RWD vs FWD.

Lots of front and rear overhang with a short hood and high belt line just makes it look stubby.
They’re still good cars regardless especially with a V6.

every FWD coupe looks like this
and if it doesn't it's an inefficient design sacrificing aero and interior space for looks

I guess that’s why the segment is essentially dead now. Well, except for the new Prelude.

I have one. Got it in 2017 with 40k miles Now has 160k miles. The power steering is heavy, the 5 speed auto is a bit sluggish. I love the look. It's big and spacious inside unlike other cuck coupes.
My ideal garage has always been a pickup and a big car. # of doors, fewer always preferred but never deal breaker.
Can't go wrong with them.

The V6 6-speeds are based but harder to find, V6 automatics are a ticking time bomb. I owned a 7th gen with the 4 cylinder auto, all around good car, extremely reliable. However it was so gutless I couldn't get the wheels to spin no matter how hard I tried to launch it

Rear wheel drive means nothing on a daily driver. You're not drifting through the streets on your way to work. You're not doing donuts on the way home from the grocery store. You're not doing burnouts in the burger king drive through.

Or hell, maybe you're a gigantic douchebag and are actually doing those things.
>>
>>28756433
I cannot WAIT long enough for all of you 80s fags to die already so that people can finally stop claiming this was actually good looking.

Can the chinese government organize an actual lethal plague this time around? not the test case that covid was.
>>
>>28757592
you're obviously trolling but I'll bite. I also used to hate 80s cars because all I would see was old chrysler K cars and chevy cavaliers but you can't deny the 80s hondas (CRX, 3rd gen prelude, EF civic, DA integra) are some of the best to come out during that time. it's about proportion, balance, harmony. if you seriously think the fucking 9th gen accord looks better than any of those you need to see a doctor so that they can study your retardation.
>>
>>28757682
>if you think this normal uninteresting car looks better than these normal uninteresting cars you're clinically retarded
I just don't think either of them are that interesting. Sorry.
>>
>>28757688
I'm not saying they're the sportiest sexiest cars ever but I'm sorry you can't appreciate objectively good design.
>>
>>28757697
>objectively good design
literally no such thing
no accounting for taste and all that
>>
>>28757706
obviously I'm accounting only for people with good taste. people with bad taste are irrelevant other than the fact that marketing types listen to them.

I drove an 8th gen coupe 4cyl all the way from 60k mi to 230k mi, never did much besides basic maintenance, until I replaced it with a Maverick, it's still in the family and my sister is now enjoying it.

>VTC always rattled every start since 60k, ignore it, does nothing
>oil leaks
>23mpg
>engine feels good, redlined it nearly everyday to 7100rpm
>feels about the same as the Maverick in turns meaning mildly boaty thing and NOT sportscar

My only real regret is that I didn't get a civic instead, the accord was too big for one 6'2" guy driving around in city 90%, yet at the same time not really more useful to me than a civic. All around it was a great comfy dd, but I'm sure an 8th gen civic would have been about the same comfort, but gotten 28mpg instead of 23-24mpg, after nearly 200k mi that would have saved me $5000+ on gas. Plus civic insurance being cheaper... parts/tires all being smaller and 20% cheaper.

It all adds up, if I just bought a civic instead of accord I would have saved over $10000.

There are multiple reasons why it's the chariot of the lord. Coupes are nice since being based of a sedan there's plenty of room in the rear, v6 models are quick and fun, still not any faster than most npc traffic nowadays but I've trolled a couple v6 muscle cars and the odd n/a BMWs being a dick on the highway. My 7 gen v6 gets about the same mileage as the 4cyl coupe, around 26 mpg both stick. If you get have to get auto I would at least go for the acura counterpart

Two-door Hondas and Acuras are for Aryans.

>>
>>28754836
V6 is the best option for this. 2.4 is fine, but eats through head gaskets faster than even a WRX (I speak from experience), but I would avoid the 1.6T like the plague.

Find one in manual too, unfortunately, I was put in a position where I had to buy that car and no other car as part of a sale agreement. The CVT model (which I have) is having rev issues with the odometer at 60k miles. 4 door with sport bodykit lacks the space.

Treat it as an car and drive it until it cannot anymore. Simply put, consider it an oversized Mitsubishi Mirage. If you want a good car try to find one two generations before at least with low miles and check the rubber components.

Not to hijack the thread, but I will be buying a motor scooter next, since this Honda is costing me more than I make. If you want, I will trade it for a Yamaha motor scooter of under 50cc. Just know, modern Hondas are not all that reliable, but they are more reliable than whatever VW is making, for example.
>>
flipping civics is a great idea. parts are easy to find, people buy em up quickly and nearly everything you can do with the car has been documented to death both in english and your favorite minority language.

you're just assblasted technology has allowed us to do better geometric shapes than the typical shitbox of the 80s.

Besides, most of us would actually prefer to survive a rollover crash instead of being crushed to death. Nothing stopping you from buying the shitboxes of the past. Safety standards and basic physics will NEVER allow shitboxes to come back.

>doe
mental midget detected. you are incapable of understanding sublety. there are good designs in all decades but the 8th gen is not one. it looks too bulbous and it has too many busy unnnecessary lines. the beltline is way too high and the way it sweeps up makes it look unbalanced. just because you can do things with stamped sheet metal doesn't mean it looks good, just look at the bullshit hyundai comes out with.
>safety
nobody cares, I was talking about aesthetics.
>>
>>28765523
The 6th gen was where it went to shit. At least cars in the late 1990s didn't have belt lines at driver's ears like nu-Accords do now. The 8tth gen and on is everything wrong with Honda.
