My towns recycling plant is too far away and they charge for it. Can I just drop it off at the dealership after close? What are they going to do?

I usually just take it to the autozone and leave it on the cart that they have at the front of the store specifically for oil
Last time I went to pep boys the fat faggot made me wait for him to talk on the phone then said he'd only take 1 gallon so I just left it at the front desk. He's lucky I didn't spill it all over the floor fucking idiot
Maybe I'll see if he's there the next time I need to drop some oil off
The fuck is that fat fuck gonna do
>>
>>28756233
>take it to the autozone and leave it on the cart
wtf they always make me dump it in the vat myself
>>
>>28756226
if you have a river near to you, just dump it there.
>>
>>28756226
They charge for it?
HA
>>
>>28756226
Fill up old opaque juice cartons and drop them off at a Food Bank.
>>
>>28756282
If I catch you dumping oil in my river I'm dumping oil on your porch
>>
>>28756315
that's actually against city guidelines in my area so I'd have to report you
>>
>>28756317
>police go to your house to take a statement
>they slip and fall on the oily steps
Checkmate, filthy do-gooder
>>

I use to run it through a coffee filter and pour it in my gas tank a little bit at a time. The car I did that with is still running at 40yr old and 345k.

Alternatively most recycling centers handle waste oil and automotive fluids.
>>
if you have knives you can throw them at the hot oil to get free bluing. You can also use it as varnish for wood, oil prevents decay and insects hate that shit.

>>28756275
damn. here in aus most super cheap auto stores take used batteries and oil and don't really put up a fuss, they often just have the oil bins outside the store for people to drop shit off.
>>
>>28756226
Dump it on the ground behind the shed
>>
>>28756412
Pretty much this. It’ll just soak back into the ground and it drilled in a few hundred years.
>>
>>28756226
I’ve been using it to keep my tire fire going and get extra smoky.
But throwing it in the trash probably works too, around here they incinerate e everything.
>>
Why does oil need to be changed at regular intervals?

>Cart specifically for oil
I've never seen this.

>The wife left the fuel petcock in the on position on the f3
>Drained oil+gas from crank
>Nobody in town would take it because it smelled like gas
Fuck me. I've never had issues before.
>Filled my low profile container so I dumped it into my 6 gallon container
>Now have ~8 gallons of oil that has a hint of gasoline to it
I ordered more oil containers as nobody will take my other oil either
>Injector allowed diesel to mix with oil
>Nobody will accept it as it smells like diesel
I think I have 20 gallons of oil I don't know how to dispose of now that I live within the city limits.
>In town recycling center charges for diluted oil
I'm half tempted to save my milk containers and make 1 gallon disappear at a time.
>>
buy a diesel/waste oil heater on amazon for like 200 bucks and burn it for heat in your garage
>>
Rocks in a hole, the boomer way.
>>
>>28756751
This is actually the smartest play ngl
>>
This is why i have an old oil drum for gash. Barely have to empty it and can do it at work.

Your job can really help with logistics.
>>

used motor oil is great for cooking. just a light coat of 10w50 on your bread makes the best grilled cheese.
Dont get me started on frying up a nice juicy ribeye with some 5w30.
But only if its fully synthetic
>>
>>28756226
Just go to Valvoline oil change. Don’t be a Jew.
>>
>>28756735
Oil viscosity breaks down over time and stops protecting the internals. Defeats the purpose.
>>
Save some for lubricant at the drill press, some for the mower, some for the chainsaw. The rest gets dumped by the back fence.
>>
>>28756226
OP can't inb4 nigga
>>
>>28756735
It gets contaminated with particulates which will either clog the filter and starve your engine of oil, thus ruining the engine, or the contaminants will find their way back into the engine and ruin the engine.
