I'm usually faster on graven than on tarmac in all rally games, for some reason that's reversed in TC Rally. It's the first game where tarmac feels natural, car behaves like on a real road.

>>

DD is a meme. Last night I had a bug where my ffb stopped working and gained like 10-20mph over my normal speed messing around on eastcoast in beam
>>
>>28760624
>shit game would be better with no ffb
gee I wonder
>>
>>28760555
the worst part was that I could tell it was rf2 from the lack of anisotropic shadow filtering even before it flashed a motorsport games logo during the attract sequence. They had simmagic wheels with motion rig seats, but as I said the wheel lock and the in-game lock didn't match so driving was not very fun and the ffb didn't work properly, but it did feel cool to drive zandvoort's bankings.
>>
>>28760523
in all technical respects swdc is cool and fun but it suffers from being way too on-brand with the slow and deliberate Japanese sportscasting presentation. The actual driving physics are neat, it's kind of like rf1 gt3 arcade where you're meant to dive into corners with precise downshifts and get the power on fast in order to exploit the traction circle, but downshifting too much will slow you down, so it's a bit of a game to find the highest gear you can corner at full throttle in each corner. However the other cars on track are just obnoxiously slow (a la ridge racer) and there is a fuck load of rubber banding by the 3rd and 1st place cars on you get into podium position (like Daytona), but the presentation is realistic and the fov is kind of low so it feels kind of strange and easy.

(isn’t) pod racing, at least by the trailer, vehicles are more like Wipeout ships + Speeder Bikes)

Maybe they are another vehicle class they aren’t showing yet, which may be the case since the Sebulba tease at the end. Could be like Motorstorm but with AG vehicles, if multiple classes in a single race, which would be so so sick.

Perhaps not showing pod racers yet because the physics and visuals would be harder to get right than fixed body vehicles.

there is clearly a very primitive fixed-engine pod racer in the preview video and it looks like it's going to antigravity motor storm.
neva kee's machine from the original game is also built without control cables or the repulsor shit that keeps the engines apart, it's just two engines bolted directly to the cockpit like the machine shown in the trailer.

In the first race, I used the classic Mini. Though at the recommended 400PP, and that shit BHP, I got smoked. I used a maxed out set-up, past 500, and still needed to use all the nitrous just to stay in front of P2. The second race, I finally used the Peugeot RCZ Rally Car with it's big rear wing. For the third race, I had modded all the Kei Cars in the game and tried the regular Jimny. I failed hard. I used the Suzuki Cappuccino for the first time and won.
In the fourth, I had a simple win in an already maxed out 296. The fifth race was fun; I had already done the Super Formula race on update day, so I could chill out and know that I could one-stop to victory. The West McLaren Mercedes livery looks looks gorgeous on it. As I've completed the car collection, and have hit the credits cap a couple of times, I'm now just modding the hell out of the cars I like, while doing my regular miles with lower-credits races.

LOL. I do it on the street in front of my house . I know you've probably never driven a real car but you can turn the wheels while not moving on asphalt. When you lift a car it toes in.If you lift the car and then adjust the toe, when you set it back down you will be way off of where you want to be.

yes. degrees or mm because by changing the length of the tie rod you are turning the wheel in or out. so 0 would be straight ahead, negative * or mm toe in, positive toe out

you cant counter steer quickly in LMU, oversteer is literally not conveyed at all in the ffb and you just have to react to it visually. if the forces are there its just way too vague. but it doesn't matter that much anyways since slides arent unforgiving like in irenting. im not really complaining about the car, i already got a few podiums and a couple of wins this weekend with it. i imagine it'll be bop'd to the ground soon with how easy it is to be competitive with it. i'm by no means an alien though since im like a second off of those times

>trail braking in 911
dumbass
get good
you cannot trail brake in a 911 you will spin, that is why they made AWD shits for dentists like yourselves

You must learn to left foot brake to drive a 911. It is intended to be driven exactly like a go-kart with both feet on the pedals at all times. If you drive with only one foot, you can get down the road, you will eventually run into a situation where the normal FR method of cornering by applying brake and gas sequentially will make the car extremely unstable and you will slow down out of fear. If you drive the 911 by the nape of it's neck it is surprisingly more compliant than you'd expect and driving fast is easy and you feel like you have infinite grip. it's when you pussy out or hesitate the platform will kill you.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the Porsche 911 GT3 R. The general stability on corner exit is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the grip will go over a typical driver's head. There's also the Porsche's MacPherson struts, which are deftly woven into its suspension.

>>
>>28766534
that sounds like a great way to be off pace. the oversteer in the porsche is what makes it fast
>>
>>28766541
too much oversteer is slow because you're scrubbing speed
a Porsche is fast in cornering because it can exploit oversteer easily, but you need to have perfect control over what the ass end of the car is doing under braking in order to not enter a state of critical oversteer that will force you to slow down to regain traction. It's the difference between swinging a hammer as hard as you can and swinging it accurately, you know?
>>
>>28766541
>keeping the power on as much as possible, lifting as little as possible
>off pace
typical backmarker mentality
the winner of a race is the driver who is able to stay on the gas pedal the most and loses the least momentum in cornering. left foot braking in an RR car allows for extremely fast throttle control which counteracts the oversteery nature that other anon is complaining about. Trail braking throws the mass of the car forward while applying throttle squats the rear and improves stability. Balancing brake and throttle on corner entry inherently balances the entire machine.
>>
>>28766563
that sounds retarded. i understand not lifting in a medium/high speed corner because you'll just kill yourself, but what you're saying induces too much understeer
>>
>>
>>28766563
this is how you drive a 70s 911 touring car on bias ply tyres not a dentist 911 gt3 with downforce and all the gay ass nannies
>>
>>28766566
you are too smallbrain to grasp the concept, that's ok. it's tough to understand throttle and brake control as more than just "go" and "stop".
risto kappet taught me how important balancing the forces on both ends of the car is when you are entering a braking zone, and the way to do that is to utilize brake and throttle and downshifting precisely. Sometimes you have to slow down and turn at the same time, and if you try to do in a RR car the same way you do in an FR or FF car, you will get extreme oversteer. Yes, sure to a point with RR a lot of oversteer is not a problem and is even beneficial, but it still makes you slow.
Left foot braking allows you to balance and release the car's excess oversteer at a controlled point rather than just drifting it in and hoping you stick.
>>
>>28766652
ok but like that other anon said thats not how you drive a porsche 911 gtr r. you basically just drive it like any other car, with a bigger emphasis on trail braking to get the car to rotate since there's not as much weight on the front tires
