utter stealth
a modern "q" car
>>
Why not make your next car a Kia?
>>
>>28764384
You have to be married to a woman who loves you for you before you can buy a KIA, that or suck dick
>>
>>28764387
people of any sexual orientation can appreciate the fine design elements and quality interiors that a new Kia offers

>>28764390
no, it's down low
and honestly it looks great from the rear
much better design than accord or camry
>>
less power than a base model bubba mustang from a decade ago? is this really the best KN can do?
>>
>>28764384
KIA seems like a good idea but Ive always been hesitant. Im buying a new car in January, maybe Ill look at this? I need space in the rear to jerk off to OnlyDudes.com
>>
290hp, fwd, and NO LSD is retarded.
I've driven one. You floor it, and it wants to take the wheel from you and turn. Don't know why those gooks didn't put an LSD in it.
>>
>>28764396
can't fit 4 in comfort in a mustang
can't hold all their luggage
mustang has a cheap rental car interior
this is actually quality

>>28764406
I mean, every single review commented on the lack of LSD, but I think as long as you put summer tires on it, it shouldn't be that bad. And isn't the point that you don't have to floor it (unlike my 2.5 NA kia)?
>>
>>28764415
You can fit 4 people fine in a mustang? I do it all the time in mine. Maybe not if you don’t want the front passengers haven’t the same leg space as a rolls royce I suppose. Trunk is spacious as well, never had a problem. The mustang’s interior is also more than adequate, and actually pretty good with the premium package.
Funny you ignore the complete lack of aura of the KN, the lacking power as compared to a 15 year old base mustang drive train, the lacking reliability (especially damning to be losing to a FORD). No LSD compared to the base mustang lmao. Cuck wheel drive too. Does it even have a manual? Probably not. Gay ass car for browns.
>>
>>28764425
>You can fit 4 people fine in a mustang?
not for long trips like you can with a k5
>The mustang’s interior is also more than adequate
it's nowhere near as nice as a k5 gt
"aura"
yeah it's not as loud and show offy
>the lacking power
you aren't gonna use more than 300 hp on most roads
>Does it even have a manual?
ever driven a manual in a traffic jam

the k5 has a buncha features the mustang could only dream of
>>
>>28764434
Ranjeet, this board is for enthusiasts. Not wage slave commuters like you that prefer Adaptive Cruise Control and pleather to a an actually exhilarating experience. There is nothing you can do to convince me, or I of you, because we fundamentally disagree at the axiomatic level. Now go back to >>>/n/ as that is more your speed.

No? I didn't think so. Enjoy your rental car.
>>
>>28764449
You can reply to me again when your marketing slop spamming includes the term “LSD”. I have a naturally aspirated V8. You have a cuck motor shared with a Sante Fe. Pipe down.
>>
>>28764384
Wow an ugly, unreliable, auto-only, Korean, fwd commuter. Too many sitting on the lot? Or are you just trying to justify your shitty purchase?
>>
>>28764451
Nobody's perfect.
>I have a naturally aspirated V8
yeah at what like 50k and still with a garbage interior and less room.
mustang is a pure engine car. It's not balanced.

>>28764453
It's actually very reliable.
>>
>>28764456
>what like 50k
Uh, no. Even an overpriced S650 GT isn’t 50K.
>garbage interior and less room.
Again, you’ve never sat in a Mustang, so I won’t again comment on the first point, and on the latter, I’ve already made it clear that your soulless commuter criteria isn’t appropriate for this board. Leave please.
>>
>>28764459
gt premium is 53k....
even with the gt1 package the kia k5 gt is under 40k
>>
>>28764460
Premium was levied in this conversation since you are a soulless bug that requires his leather seats to not feel inadequate for his purchase, since again, your only criteria is that of a wage slave. I’m not sure how many times i’m going to need to remind you that you are at odds with this board and that fundamentally you will co convince no one here with your gookshit trash. Why not actually celebrate something like a Stinger, which is still a faggot mobile, but at least was a genuine attempt?
>>
>>28764464
sadly, the k5 only has pleather on offer
there's more to the nice interior of the k5 and the features than the seating material, and I bet the rear legroom is way more in the k5
the stinger was too small on the inside, and too expensive
>>
>>28764464
Also, the Mustang platform dates to about 2014 whereas the Kia is much newer and uses a platform from 2020.
>>
>>28764471
I’m not sure why you’re presenting this as a good thing for the KN. Being newer isn’t good. The closer a car is to the late 90s or early 2000s, the better.
>>
>>28764475
yes it is, it means more advanced tech, adas features, generally a better ride, less noise
mustang is crude, if not for the engines and hp nobody would care about it

>>

You still have failed to explain why having an older platform is a bad thing other than not incorporating features designed for people who hate driving, the anti-thesis of everything this board stands for.
>>
>>28764558
because it tends to incoporate older designs for steering, suspension, handling, noise, lower strength steel, lower tensional rigidity, etc.
the result is a cruder car

I daily drive an MGB from 1967. The only electrics on it are the headlights, ignition, gauges (only partially) and my taillights. There is no power steering, brakes or an automatic transmission. It uses leaf springs. Yet, it handles fine and is an enjoyable experience, so much so i’ve travelled to other cities for hours with it. It’s also decked out with nice real red leather for that sumptuous experience you seem so obsessed with. No complaints. Maybe you need to experience something other than some hyundai who’s only credible benefit is techno gadgets for people who hate driving?

Is anyone going to tell this LLM bot that no one cares about mainstream wants and needs of the general public that would immediately ditch all cars for reliable public transport if it existed for them? No one cares about your cope mobile. Genuinely. Several anons have told you, and yet you still, like a bot, keep repeating the same tired lines over and over again. Why haven’t the mods banned this level of disingenuous, bad faith argumentation?

It was downright sketchy on dry road. Give it all that power without an LSD or an intricate knuckle design like the ctr has to prevent torque steer, then it’s probably sketchy at highway speeds too if you put the gas on it. It’s dumb. Not even as an option. An LSD isn’t expensive.

Nothing with 290hp is fast at modern weights, fast is required to be a sleeper or "q car"
>>
>>28765435
I mean, it's a sedan at least so it's less heavy than a crossover, and compared to a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry, which don't come with any sort of upgrade engine anymore, it is fast.

I agree with the criticism that it badly needs an LSD, but even then it can get to 0-60 in under 6 seconds even from a rolling start

What does this cope have to do with being slower than a base model pony car? Let alone a real sports car? Do you know what "q car" means? Nobody is surprised by something slower than 4cyl Mustang.
>>
>>28765776
that you are comparing apples to oranges
you are comparing a cramped cheaply built muscle car basically built for engine and numbers with a well rounded family sedan meant to fit 4 people and their stuff and move them around faster than a standard Honda Accord or Toyota Camry
the mustang has tons of compromises, apart from the engine and overall speed, that you will never address and will just act like are not there and don't matter
>>
>>28765782
You're the one claiming the Kia is a "q car" Anon. Simply pointing out it's slower than an entry level quick car isn't comparing apples to oranges, it's pointing out your moronicy.

how is it an imaginary competition when you come to 4chan to make an entire thread about the superior competition of a basic car?
Its not an imaginary competition. It means everything to you. Cause you stupid fucking savage 13th world cuck-koreans literally have nothing to be proud of. All of your men are ladybois. all of your women are prostitutes. Your entire country is collapsing. Kia wouldnt even exist today without ford. Your most powerful argument is to use the word "technology" a pencil is technology. A pencil from 2005 is the same kind of pencil as today. A maf sensor, a piezoresistive sensor, a hall effect sensor from 1995 is the same thing as the shit you see in a bugatti or a tesla today

you argue about dumb shit like that because you have no soul because you are asian and dont understand whats even cool about cars. nobody gives a fuck about your stupid fucking 2 stage lumbar support anal hole vibrating climate controled dick massager seat. Mustangs have all that shit too. Except mustangs come with modular, semi closed deck v8 that can easily be built to handle 800hp with air conditioning.
And kias come with a baby turbo open block open differential chink slop engine that can barely hold the power its been given. So when your half ass korean turbo blows a hole through the head 5 years after you buy it you wont have an aftermarket to support the issue. Where you can buy a 50 year old mustang rusting away on the side of some random hill in nebraska and piece it together within 6 weeks.

I can't imagine genuinely driving OP's car. There has to be something fundamentally, axiomatically broken or missing within you to look at such a vehicle and say "Yes, I will spend 40K of my hard earned currency on this".
There is something to be said about the total loss of authenticity, experience and of aesthetic beauty, physical or otherwise, in the modern day, to allow abortions like OP's car to not only exist, but actively be consumed.
At no part of this Kia's (or any Kia for that matter) was any passion involved. It is a vehicle of pure committee design, and a reflection of the total degradation of human ingenuity, passion and spirit.
It is a vehicle of spread sheets, numbers and calculus, but of no qualitative value. No one will hang a poster of this "car" on their wall. No one will dream of taking this car on adventures one only has a few times in their life.
This car is as disposable as the napkin I just used after having a meal. There is no remembrance, no care, no thought to be made beyond the immediate cushioning of my backside as I make a mind numbing commute to an equally spiritually crushing job.
This car is everything wrong with this world, never mind the car space.

tires don't do much of anything in managing torque steer, it's a geometry of forces problem that is not related to grip

>>28764406
>>28764740
I daily a 300hp FWD.
You must have underdeveloped noodle arms if torque steer is a serious fear.

can't fit 4 people and their luggage comfortable in what you posted
it's not that we don't know purist sports cars exist, it's that elevating humble family sedans with sleeper nice engines is more interesting and relevant to a broader use case

Are you bot perchance? Because only a bot would have looked at my pic rel, my body of text and came to such a conclusion.

Just buy a used Lexus GS. 300hp, RWD/AWD, already took the depreciation hit and you can sell it for 60-70% of what you paid since its just a toyota.
>>
K5 looks pretty sharp but its just an 4cyl fwd econobox at the end of the day
>>28764517
>>28764523
> and you are not going to get a 400 hp car for less than 50k
Wtf are you talking about, $50k USD? You can easily get TWO 400hp muscle cars for that much
>>
>>28767047
you keep posting sports cars as if the kia is competing with hardcore roadsters

>>28767451

lol

it's the best of the 4cyl fwd econoboxes, you DO know that hundreds of thousands of people still buy those?
>>
>>28767471
>hundreds of thousands of people still buy those
Yes, because they're ignorant or otherwise don't care about what they drive. You're arguing on an enthusiast forum, people here do care. It's assumed if you're here that you also care, and should be driving something more than an a-b appliance. A Kia isn't a car you get excited about, it's a car you drive because you're broke or apathetic
>>
>>28767478
a kia gt is pretty exciting
>>
>>28767471
>it's the best of the 4cyl fwd econoboxes
Son i make way too much money to be seen driving in a car that
a) has less than 6 cylinders
b) sends power to the front wheels
But if i were a pleb i would buy one i guess
>>
>>28767492
It is exciting in exactly 0 ways, except maybe when the engine blows up eventually. That only happens once though
>>
>>28767498
>nearly 300 hp in an econobox shape nobody suspects of being fast
>>
>>28767471
What does it matter if it was designed 15 years ago if it still has all the features the Kia has PLUS more? Also, how old do you think the platform the K5 is based on is?

Other than native wireless CarPlay/AndroidAuto (which is just a $800 Hamilton kit upgrade away) there is literally nothing the K5 has over a GS. Trust me, I have a 2020 GS and a 2023 Kia EV6, a K5 is just a riced out econobox with an overstressed engine.
>>
>>28767506
>What does it matter if it was designed 15 years ago
because that is going to give it material disadvantages
e.g. no apple carplay or android auto, lower resolution cameras, no hands free driving, grainy navigation, outdated electrical architecture
as well as a rougher ride, more noise, newer cars are just generally better in a variety of ways

>Also, how old do you think the platform the K5 is based on is?
2020
>>
>>28767501
It's a good thing no one expects it to be fast because it's not. Also good they don't expect it to be nice or reliable. No one expects anything of it in fact, because nobody notices it exists in the first place.
>>
>>28767512
it's fast RELATIVE to normal midsize sedans
>>
>>28767516
Ford Fusion sport is faster in the same category, and also a decade older. Not impressive at all

Not particularly to my taste, but not bad at all. Shared with the Lincoln mkz of the same vintage. Although as I recall, we were talking about how "fast" the Kia was, not comparing cupholder trim

Are you seriously comparing the ride quality on a Lexus to the one in a Kia? Every single thing you mentioned as an advantage on a newer platform is worse in my EV6 than it is in my GS, and the EV6 is a way better car than a K5.

My GS has all the safety features you listed plus:

>Radar based cross-traffic alert, instead of optic like in the Kia, which stops working if you are in a parking lot or its foggy/snowing (its only purpose, lol)
>3 memory settings for all 3 mirrors, steering column, wheel position and seat position
>automated garage/gate buttons
>heated side mirrors
>Radaror based front collision sensors/cruise control instead of just camera in the Kia, which stops working of theres a speck of snow or dirt covering the sensor

That's just from what I can pull out of my ass while driving, things not even my EV6 has or does as well as my GS. Oh, and look at Kia's glorious rear camera quality lmao
>>
>modern 8 gear DCT transmission

How? Why?

what possesses anons to purchase an ostensibly normal car then come on here and spend all their free time shilling it as if it's the greatest vehicle ever designed?

they don't still make a turbo accord or altima

If you weren't a bot you would have realized my post had nothing to do with comparing the Stradale33 to your K5.
>>
>>28767597
>>Radaror based front collision sensors/cruise control instead of just camera in the Kia, which stops working of theres a speck of snow or dirt covering the sensor
I'm pretty sure my kia has both radar and optical sensors in the front and back and it never stops working unless the optical sensors get fully covered and then its just the camera that you can't see out of and one time the cruise control wouldn't work but that was in a pouring thunderstorm where it wouldn't have been much help anwyays
