>look up why TVR died
>the owner got bored of it and needed more time to take care of his family so he sold it to the first person that gave him an offer without even checking their background
why are brits so fucking abhorrent at business?
>>
>>28766352
No wonder the whole country is falling apart
>>
>>28766352
If you're such a savant where's your business? Cashing out to the first person who throws you an offer is a perfectly sensible thing to do when you dont give a fuck and just want to retire.
>>
>>28766354
a savant? what? i'm just telling people that he sold the business in the laziest and least ambitious way possible
selling your business to the first retard is fine if you're the only worker but when you're a pillar of the industry and have hundreds of people working for you, it's a different story
>>
>>28766354
>doubt you could do better!
What are you, a teenager? Only teenagers use this comeback. You're too young to be here.
>>
>>28766352
literally what the fuck did he do wrong?
Got tired of a hot potato company and sold it to the next sucker, generation wealth accrued, family time maximized.
The ruskie couldn't even get 1 model out even with Gordon Murray's help lmao.
>>
>>28766363
Making sure your workers have a soft cushy landing after you sell off the company so your "pillar" of a business continues to prop up the industry is not what business-minded people do. They cash out when its time to move on and let it be someone elses problem. You're giving a lecture on how to run a business and seemingly have no fucking idea what you're talking about.
>>
>>28766371
Nice cope
>>
>>28766363
>tvr
>pillar of the industry
bro they're glorified kit cars at best
>>
>>28766374
why would a CEO who already cashed out realistically give any fucks about what happens to the workers, dude?
>>
>>28766373
>literally what the fuck did he do wrong?
he expanded certain parts of the company too quickly without ironing out the currently existing problems
it was a mistake for a tiny company like TVR to produce (or outsource) not 1 but 2 of their own engine designs, there was no reason to do that
there was nothing wrong with using currently existing engines from other manufacturers
>The ruskie couldn't even get 1 model out even with Gordon Murray's help lmao.
smolensky wasn't in charge of the company when the new griffith was designed, les edgar was

>>28766374
non-sequitur
the entire point is that he sold it in the worst manner possible, not the way he treated his employees but let's look at that anyway
what do you think happens to a company if all of the employees get fucked after a sale? the company goes down the drain 10 out of 10 times and who wins in the end? the guy that didn't put any thought into the sale and screwed everybody else over because of his apathy and selfishness? THAT'S what you're defending?? no fucking wonder your country has gone to the dogs if people like you exist

>>28766376
what the hell do you think the british car industry is made up of?
>>
>>28766390
Tata mostly.
Brits don't have a car industry.
>>
>>28766390
Again ill ask, why would the owner give a fuck about any of that if his goal is to cash out and retire? You can pay for retirement funds and severance packages when you own your own business.
>>
>>28766396
>why would the owner give a fuck about any of that if his goal is to cash out and retire?
because it affects the economy of the country he lives in you fucking clueless retard
do you enjoy living around poverty?
>>
>>28766401
>because it affects the economy of the country he lives in you fucking clueless retard
Your entire thread is based on your assessment of him making a "poor business decision" when the decision he made was objectively the most sound considering he retired off the sale and spent time with his family afterwards. You're criticizing a business decision and then using libtard metrics like empathy, selflessness, and greater good of the country to evaluate the soundness of it. These are not factors of business calculus, it is humanitarian and ethical calculus. You're calling it bad business when in reality you're just upset he wasnt thinking about the poorfags who might have to take their high-skill labor into another field. You should have rewritten your OP post to "the way this guy sold TVR upsets my poorfag sensibilities. what topical cream would you recommend for my asshurt"?
>>
>>28766401
he would live in a villa in Spain or south of France, moron. Nobody in their right mind would willingly live in the UK among the middle class and the imported dregs.
>>
>>28766410
it was a bad business decision because the entire company collapsed shortly after the deal was made
are you people lobotomized or something? holy shit
>>
>>28767701
It took you an entire day to come up with that?
>the entire company collapsed shortly after the deal was made
Does some dude selling his car make a "poor and unethical business decision" when he doesn't make sure the new owner will take it to a shop and support his local economy?
Are you familiar with the concept of "not my fucking problem"? The guy who made the poor business decision was the guy who ran the company into the ground after he purchased it, but according to you, somehow the guy who cashed out early and retired is to blame instead?

You're fucking retarded. Please don't reproduce.
>>
>>28767701
If we're going to turn this thread into a "bad business decisions" thread, we could start with HP and Autonomy. Using the courts to address your own poor due diligence? Masterful business..
And don't try to come back with a Whataboutism - it goes to the central point of your argument about the responsibility of business founders.

If you want me to post a list to hole your communist argument "...but what about the workers..." below the waterline, please let me know, and I'll start with US auto plants shuttering and moving production to cheaper sources

it's more because the british labour party is probably the most left wing party in europe, despite the fact they don't come across this way. this party nationalized the railways and the entire automotive industry, as well as the energy grid, energy suppliers and telecomunications industry and more besides. they had a three day working week and strikes whenever workers felt like it (all the time). thatcher was the only reason the country survived into the 90s.

the conservatives are barely any different, not in the least because they all went to school together and all go to the same dinner parties and all want to be part of the eu. the country will probably explode in the next few years, if that.

Trevcar is not a serious car brand.
>>
>>28766352
They don't have any jewish overlords guiding them like in the US.
>>
>>28768469
I see you never studied history. Did you get your analysis from Farcebook? Or is it an AI hallucination?
>>
>>28768469
>this party nationalized the railways and the entire automotive industry, as well as the energy grid, energy suppliers and telecomunications industry
All those were privatised in the 1980s and sold to foreigners.
A quarter of our railways are run by Deutsche Bahn the which is owned by the German state, I think the Italians and French also have a piece.
There's nothing British in Britain including most of the population
