Also having had a 954 and 929, the 929 has a much comfier shaped tank and the slight different riding position was comfier for me. The tank has a more Rounded vs a more geometric shape. The 954 was a min-maxed 929 that traded a little bit of durability for that hair extra performance. They're awesome bikes though regardless of the two, I plan to bore out my engine to 954 spec so I get the best of both worlds in the future.
