It's time to settle this once and for all.

1 What brand makes the best cars/bikes these days?
2 What brand is more influential?
3 What brand has the coolest history?
4 What brand is more successful in motorsport?
5 What brand has more SOUL?
6 What brand is the real underdog?

>1 Probably Toyota+Yamaha wins this one, Prelude is a joke
>2 Honda
>3 Toyota+Yamaha
>4 Honda, more victories everywhre from F1 to MotoGP
>5 I can't tell, they seem to go head-to-head here
>6 And again it's hard to tell, Honda does everything on its own, but Honda is not as big as Toyota anyway

Toyota trucks, honda motorcycles

1) Toyota offers more options with Century/Land Cruiser/GR cars. Honda only has a the Civic Type R.
Honda has a better bike lineup than Yamaha though
2) Toyota, their management and logistics are the gold standard and taught in every industry.
3) Honda, they actually started with motorcycles
4) Honda, F1 & motoGP
5) Honda, they have oval pistons, motocompos, monkeys, ASIMO, hondajet, etc. Too bad so little of that SOUL ends up in their cars
6) Honda, Toyota is fucking massive, they're not underdogs to anyone except VAG

Yamaha has the most recalls of any Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, you gotta be pretty naive or dense to think they're anywhere near Hondas level of motorcycle build qualilty.

>Jan 2024 - Mar 2025 (Longer Term): Toyota (1.54M) had fewer vehicles affected than Honda (4.1M) in this longer period
>Yamaha Reported 49 recalls in the last decade (as of May 2024).
>Honda Reported 33 recalls in the last decade (as of May 2024).

So
48% more recalls for Yamaha bikes compared to Honda bikes
173% more recalls for Honda cars compared to Toyota cars

Honda lost this one by 125%

Honda recalls in bigger numbers.
For example when Yamaha recalls like 15000 bikes, Honda recalls 45000 units.
>1.5m vs 4.1m
Even tho Toyota is much bigger and sells more cars Honda had more recalls anyway.

I got a recall notice for my 2020 R3 because of something about the turn signals and condensation. I've never had an issue with them. I'd rather deal with a company that will apologize for any faults than companies like Suzuki or Kawasaki where there are serious design flaws that never get fixed throughout an entire production run. Honda may have less issues, but they're also slow, boring, and expensive.
