2025 Car Of The Year

I love telling people that Waymo is going to beat Tesla in the ride share market and hearing all their excuses. They really have no clue how far ahead Waymo is in the driving capabilities, and they have no clue how important that is.
>>28769114>the fat guy is ahead of the chubby kid in the shit eating contest
>>28769197Taxis have existed longer than cars.
>>28769114It doesn't matter who is ahead. Self driving will be commodity technology.
>>28769368I don't need my car to self drive when I'm in it. I need it to self drive when I'm out of it. (parking after I get out, being able to summon it from wherever I am).A self driving car that only self drives is a party trick, with the only good use case being if you're tired or intoxicated. I fell asleep on the freeway while using autopilot one time for 2 minutes and woke up still driving. Definitely saved me there.
>>28769377>A self driving car that only self drives is a party trickA self driving car that only self drives is a taxi without the fleshy meat thing operating it that demands a wage
>>28769076I live in a big city and see dozens and dozens of these on a typical day downtown. I know that they're technically a lot safer than the average cave dwelling dope smoker fucking up the traffic, but it unnerves me to see the empty driver's seats when I'm driving alongside them or when I'm crossing the street.I genuinely think the best way to counter their takeover or at the very least just really annoy the piss outta WAYMO is to buy one of those giant value packs of gooner anime laptop stickers off of Temu and just plaster dozens and dozens of them across the car while they're stuck at traffic lights. They can't run you over, nobody is going to get out of the car to protest, the thousands of people that see the car before it returns to its hub at the end of the day will all take pictures of it and start to think less of self driving cars as a whole, and you're technically not damaging anything as the stickers will just get removed by someone that works for the company.I grew up in New York and will always prefer my classic yellow taxi cabbies, the self-driving cars won't teach me new racial slurs in other languages or tell me where the best pizza place is nearby.
>>28769381I obviously meant a self driving car that only self drives while you're in the driver's seat is a party trick.
>>28769399So your genius plan is to vandalize a car covered in a dozen cameras?
Self driving cars are only wanted by stupid retard goy cattle slaves.>be in 2035>have self driving cuckover suv whatever gookwheels>need to get to work the next county over on a 2 hour commute>WARNING WARNING BEEP BEEP WARNING WARNING>This area is under a climate lock down! you are not authorized to drive here>car stops>attempt to voice command the car to drive, or drive back>waiting for the anal rape drones with AI law enforcement to rape you while you are locked in your car, pulled over.also>the government can just take over your car and fucking kill you in a "accident"self driving cars.no fucking thank you.i'm driving my 2007 shitbox
>>28769531>the government can just take over your car and fucking kill you in a "accidentThey already had those installed in all cars over 10 years ago.
>>28769381Don't worry, your self-driving car will be a subscription service that somehow costs more than the taxi because shut up.And you'll be happy.
Are they manufacturing / pushing zoomers and gen alpha to not get drivers licenses, to push the self driving car meme?
>>28769492Ok whatever, pay a hobo to do it then. >I'm stimulating the economy :)
>>28769531You just argued against gas cars. EVs, which what all self driving robotaxis are, won't have the problem of climate lockdowns.
>>28769592>won't have the problem of climate lockdownslol, lmao even.
>>28769627Yeah, hilarious how that retard thought EVs would have climate lockdowns. Just shows how out of sync with reality these rube goldberg tards are.
self driving will never be perfected btw if that matters
>>28769879It's already more reliable than a human driver.
>>28769884i want to see proof of this that isn't from waymo themselves
>>28769887actually nevermind i don't need it because thats not a high bar & waymos still drive like shit anyway
Why is Waymo still just adding cameras to Jaguars? Why don't they have their purpose built vehicle yet?
