There were 500.000 spectators at Fafe of Rally de Portugal 2025. And the WRC is expanding into the USA soon./o/ said rally isn't popular anymore, where is /o/ getting its numbers?@41:00https://www.redbull.com/us-en/videos/fia-world-rally-championship-2025-portugal-highlights
/o/ doesn't know shit about fuck. But when you see what group b was, in comparison, rally has really fallen. Also speaking personally there used to be an annual sunseeker sponsored rally at my local woods and now they haven't done it for years.
more land than europe and american car culture is go fast in a straight line, go fast in an oval, or do a street takeover. A boomer would have a literal heart attack at the thought of paying for a dirt road to be maintained and raced on in his county.
The WRC27 rules sound extremely lame. We're going from the 2nd fastest rally cars in history (WRC+ were marginally quicker) to Rally2 equivalent. Still faster than early 2000s cars at least.>>28771189>But when you see what group b was, in comparisonAh yes. Slow and fragile cars, bad drivers and poorly-run events. Such a golden age.
>>28770510Thank you based Toyota keeping rally alive especially on USA soil
>>28771300It was fast according to the standard of the times and pushed the technical limits of the times; that's the important part which is missing in contemporaneous venues.
