But convertible versions of these are not actually obtainable right?

>>
>>28770776
are you gay?
even miatas are better as hard tops.
>>
>>28770776
if it has to be a convertible, e30 convertible is probably the best answer.
>>
>>28770778
I'm not gay, I'm just appropriating gay culture
>>
>>28770783
That's a great looking car

RX-8 is a stretched NC Miata
>>
>>28770788
yes
And they're both ~2300lb rwd cars with 50/50 weight distribution and no power. It's probably as close as you can get.
>>
>>28770793
its not a convertible
>>
>>28770798
i have personally never seen a miata without the hardtop anyway, so.
>>
>>28770803
i see lots of soft top ones in the south east. even drove my celica with the top down today cuz was 60 outside.
>>
>>28770792
That’s fwd dummy…more similar to a Camry or something
>>
>>28770754
Chevy Tahoe
>>
>>28770754
The closest thing to a 4-seater Miata is a Miata. It's like a 4-seater Miata, but with only 2 seats.
>>
>>28770803
>i have personally never seen a miata without the hardtop
how?

>>
>>28770857

You sir are in desperate need of a Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet. It would be the perfect vehicle to meet your needs.
>>
>>28771042
That was a retarded idea but I still kind of like it. The Murano looks fine, especially compared to the absolute garbage American brands were shitting out at the time. I've never seen someone in a crosscab who didn't look happy

Mercury Capri. It's slightly longer a Miata, but it's a four seater. It uses the same Mazda B6 engine as the NA Miata and was available with a turbo from the factory.

A 240SX convertible could also be a good option if you're interested in something with similar driving dynamics.

E30 convertible probably
>>
>>
>>28771204
Don't know about OP but these are extremely rare where I live. Most have either been scrapped or used strictly as track cars.
>>
>>28770769
>gt86
>4-seater
lol no
either the driver has to be a 140 cm little girl or the rear left passenger has to be a leg amputee for that to work

>>
OP here, how about an eclipse spyder?
>>
>>28771647

>barely fits toddler legs
you and I have a different definition of the word "great"
>>
>>28771767
>how about an unreliable fwd shitbox with bad parts availability that weighs 1000 pounds more?
So you don't actually care about the driving experience, you just want a convertible? Get a sebring or something.
>>
>>28771784
Kinda, yeah. It's my first car and I'd get a Camry solana but I like the compactness of the eclipse because big cars are still scary to drive
>>
>>28771794
Wish I knew you were this retarded when you first posted, wouldn't have wasted my time trying to help you.
>>
>>28771798
I-im still learning, anon. Thanks for the help
>>
>>28771805
You will be significantly happier with the camry than you would be with the shitsubishi. Do not buy an eclipse, please.
If all you're looking for is a fun 4 seater convertible as a first car, get something like an e46 or e92. e30s are too old and frankly too shit for how much they cost.
The camry would be perfectly fine and a good a-b car that won't give you any problems.
You could look at s197 mustangs, but if you think the camry is too big, I doubt you'd like the mustang.
G35/G37 convertibles are also a solid option
>>
>>28771815
Well fuck, turns out that unless I want to drive halfway across the country to stick a car into a boat and ship it for another 2 grand, my only options are
>Buick cascada
>430sc
>is 250c
>a billion different mustangs
>>
>>28772320
Of those, the is250 is probably the best choice
>>
>>28771042
If I were rich I would probably own one of these just for the novelty. certainly wouldn't be a daily driver, it would be the wife or daughter's car.

Other crossover cabriolets are available. Perhaps more attractive if money is no object and you can just pay someone else to do the maintenance.
>>
E36 cabrio

Why hasn't some eccentric rich autist or youtuber made a miata limo yet?
>>
>>28775349
they already have
