>e-cars get new subsidization>deailers all simultaneously increase the prices exactly the amount of the subsidization
>>28771883EVs don't make any money unless ur Tesla. That's why they immediately raise the price. They keep selling at a loss hoping to get market traction.
>>28771883
>>28771883This can be solved by making sure subsidies are applied only some time after purchase to select group of people. Sweden has an EV incentive that only applies to poor people and basically gradually give you some of that initial purchase back over the course of three years. This discouragws price hikes at MSRP.
i dont think its too extreme to say that people who do things like that should be hanged in the town square
>>28772072Cool it with the antisemitism
>>28771883pretty based. your discount/free money is my money bucko
>>28771883>e-cars get new subsidization>deailers all simultaneously increase the prices exactly the amount of the subsidizationI love how regular people are constantly discovering high school economics
>>28771883>e-cars get new subsidization>deailers all simultaneously increase the prices exactly the amount of the subsidizationThey're doing the same thing with those health insurance subsidies they're fighting over in congress. Supply and demand sets prices when the government throws money at something to help consumers afford it they just drive the price up by whatever amount the subsidy is since the companies had already determined what cost consumers would accept according to the supply curve.
>>28771883>corporation engages in anti-competitive, anti-consumer behaviorsay it ain't so>>28772072I'm inclined to agree.
>>28772424>would accept according to the supply curve.*Demand curve. And a subsidy essentially shifts the supply curve to the right, which does both lower prices and increase the quantity available/consumed. Just not nearly as much as policy advocates expect because of the dead weight loss inherent in government actions.
>>28772424>reading a nigger's ramblings
>>28772036Based Swedistan making sure Abdul can afford a new EV every few years
>>28772945Don't worry, the racists in Parliament made sure Abdul can't get his cheap EV. The subsidies only apply to Swedish equivalent of hillbillies.
>>28772036It can be solved by simply allowing direct purchases from the manufacturer. So much of a vehicle's cost is tied up in s ammy bullshit created by middlemen, and the government is responsible.>Taxes the manufacturer for operating>Taxes the purchase of materials to build the vehicle>Taxes the wages paid to the people building the vehicle>Taxes the sale of the vehicle>Taxes the money paid to the company shipping the vehicle>Taxes the shipping company for operating>Taxes the dealership for operating>Taxes the wages paid to the dealership employees>Taxes the sale of the vehicle to the customer>Taxes the customer for owning the vehicle>Taxes the customer on the wages they earn to pay the taxes for owning the vehicle>Taxes the customer for the land they park the vehicle on
i spell it subsidy
